Seems to be a bit of a farce this. I transferred quite a lot out of my online account into my new bond and when I got the certificate of deposit it said my opening balance was £0 ! Asking them where my money had gone they took two days to come back and they apologised and told me that they had made a mistake in creating my account and my money had gone into another account but that they would create a new account for me and I would get an new certificate of deposit!! Moral of the story, check !
Thanks for the warning optimist. After reading your post I asked for a call back via the website, and sure enough i recieved one this afternoon.tTey confirmed the second transfer made, like you via the online account ,was credited to the bond. She said, not surprisingly, they have been absolutely deluged because of the bond, but i would be recieving notification by post soon.0 -

Thanks Optimist , my cert of deposit said £0 as well. I just presumed that it was because they had created my account first with nothing in it, and then they sent me the account no. to be able to transfer to it from my SSaver online acc. I will make a point of checking straight away whats happened.0 -
I printed the form out online on 1.2.08 and sent a cheque off for £30K on 4.2.08 which they have cashed. Now I am worried they have signed me up for the 6.5% deal instead of the 6.9% even although the paperwork clearly referred to the 6.9% bond. What do you think?0

Go to the website and request them to call you, then you can ask them:

Ringing NR will put your mind at rest but if you completed the form on line it says issue one at the top as part of the form. The pdf which you could print off and fill in by hand (and which I think was for branch applications) does not have an issue no on it0 -
I rang them as suggested. They've got my cheque and it will be cleared Monday and the funds will be put into my new 6.9% account. Result. Thanks for your help.0

Is it normal to get a certificate for each deposit and not one with the whole amount on it? I have two now, one for my opening deposit and the other for my second and last deposit.Reclaimed thanks to this site:
