however i like to consider myself a freecycle expert being a moderator i get asked all the time to keep an eye out for certain items by people who are in desperate need of certain item's ,i.e. when unfortunately the county i live in was drastically flooded in summer 2007 (gloucestershire)
You sound interesting! Why not go on the programme?

i would not go on national televison to line someone else's pocket's (or my own for that matter) the only benefit i could see of any program like this would be to increase awareness of freecycle but unfortunately i can see freecycle turning in to a free for all and making moderator's jobs a lot harder as it already can be quite time consuming what with having to check all the other local site's first before allowing posts through ,then checking that they are all in the correct format
not moaning just stating the fact's
    save money, spend someone else's

Personally I think the awareness should be increased...there are plenty of people who do not know about FreeCycle and if it can help them then they should know about it. Whilst I understand that it might be difficult for the moderators they surely need to increase their moderation team to meet with the demand.

So it's first come first served and don't publicise it to too many as they might want to use it? If you get more joining surely you'd get moderator types from the extra people?
