Morning everyone!
We had a lovely peaceful breakfast with no arguing between my two. A miracle. I gave them breaky and then told them if they wanted to argue, shout, call each other names and hit each other that was fine but could they not bother coming to tell me about it. Their faces were a picture and they were as good as gold and did tonight's reading and spelling so they don't have to do it later. They came upstairs already for school and said it was fantastic and they were going to do their reading etc in the morning from now on. Funny, isn't that what I suggested sometime last year! Lol.
Today's list:
Thursday Bathroom, downstairs loo and clinic
Level One
Clean floors
Level Two
Clean baths, toilets and sinks
Dust clinic
Level Three
Clear clutter from floor
Wipe down tiles in bathroom
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required
Extra mission:
Pick whichever you want to attempt:
- Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms
- clean the radiators in these rooms (and behind them if you can)
- unload dishwasher
- unload washing machine / dry for ten minutes and hang
- freeze lasagne
- 27 boogie woogie fling thing

it was just what I would have got out of it as a daughter.. these young 'uns are VERY fly and pick up on ANYTHING that can cause a rift or they can manipulate to their advantage.. especially if it means she gets to stay up late!
Like a lot of families my mother ran the house. I was very much a daddy's girl, but they worked as a team.
If I asked dad for something the answer was always " what did your mother say?"
No chance to play one off against the other!0 -

Good morning everyone,
I was so inspired by all of your posts yesterday that I went home and cleaned, de-cluttered a box, made dinner, got Spare room ready for IL's staying tonight and all while watching Everton loose... I can't wait to start flying properly, next week. Last night needed to be done as we have guests tonight so, it was only an 'on the surface' clean. I did get 2 loads of washing done, though! Yipee!
lil_me - thanks for your help re: paperwork. The paperwork you have filed for 2007, what does that consist of? Is it everything, ie: phone bills, mobile bills, gas, elec, Sky TV, Credit cards, TV license, insurance (etc....)?? I'm just wondering if there is some bits that don't really need to be kept or should I keep it all for one year and then chuck it?
I'm glad there are others on here who work FT and fly in the evening!
I've told my OH that I have joined this forum and he doesn't believe I'm going to keep up with it. My chance to prove him wrong - again! Men, eh???Official DFW Member 716 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
Morning flyladies and big hugs to you all.
Now I want you all to do me a favour. You are all (yes that is you and not the others) to do something for yourselves today. I want you to think about you. It could be as simple as having what you like for tea even if the others hate it or treating yourself to a little something. Some of you, mentioning no names, are turning into martyrs and it is not good for you. If you give, give, give you will end up empty and no good to anybody. One of my favourite sayings in life is 'put your own oxygen mask on first'.
Sorry pep talk over. Off to bank/boots/lidl (should have raspberries canes in today) and then back to ebay. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Good morning all,
Hope everyone's feeling better. Hugs to anyone who needs or wants one. Everyone should have at least one hug a day!Dustykitten wrote: »'put your own oxygen mask on first'.
