((super soft squishy hugs for Jill)) sweetie you sound exhausted, try and get some sleep tonight, maybe you can get some rest tomorrow. I'm doing HHS (Half Hour (minimum) Sleep) at about 10am after doing the school run and sitting room if your littler ones will let you join me :D

Pigpen, :rotfl: sounds like my house, I do usually have them organised, all packed inside pillow cases for when the bed needs changing as I usually wake the other up sorting the beds, so I stuff 'a bed' in a bag and they are in their wardrobes usually, DS2 has 2 plastic sheets on his bed tonight so I can pull one off and have the other under it to make it easier, but when 6 sets of sheets and 4 duvets get wet overnight the priority becomes getting the duvets washed and dry as we've ran out, then someone tiddles again and it's like a whirlwind. Fingers crossed I will catch up with it tomorrow, roll on the summer, would have had it all dry by now! DS1 had stopped doing it for about a month he only wet twice, then it's back again several times a night....ggrrrrr....Oh then there is the wet clothes from school to do as he DS2 wet himself there, they haven't put his other tshirt in his bag either so need to find that tomorrow...

Oi anyway Pigpen, you should be in bed by now, you have 4 times the chaos to deal with in the morning!
One day I might be more organised...........

I'm still sat here having just finished my finance update then realised I wrote a cheque - what are they remind me again for £330 for the new Washing machine - doh, thought I'd got a bit more left than I should have done.

Hugs to Jill, and lilme for troubles so late and pigpen as you still up.

Lilme - this might sound strange but could you get hold of a piece of tent canvas to put on his bed. When we were kids my dad used to put that on our beds, 1 to stop the mattress getting wet and 2 to stop the springs poking through :rotfl: . It worked and was washable but we did have the advantage that he was working for a marquee company :p . Maybe worth a try.
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Kaz, I think it was you who mentioned it the last time, thanks for the reminder. I did look into it but it was really expensive and I needed several (have to be able to wash them as it's so often and so wet it stinks if I leave the waterproof sheet on) I managed to find some cheapish (£5) full bed ones that the pharmacy near me can order in which have been the most successful so far, they work really well if only they wouldn't stop pulling them off or ripping them. I'm keeping an eye on freecycle incase any old ones come up however as I think it'd be much stronger.

I am considering a steam cleaner for the mattresses if/when the letter comes, the vax isn't helping get the smells out enough, DSs being so 'smell sensitive' can't cope with the smell of a 'wee mattress' but someone said a steam cleaner is much better at it. I hate the thought we are throwing 1-2 matresses a month onto landfill aswell as all the pull ups etc.

Guessing 5 minutes more and we'll be dry enough to do the bed :D pleased as little fella looking tired now, maybe he'll sleep after 5am.................................:rotfl: chance would be a fine thing
One day I might be more organised...........

Goodness me! What a day. I haven't done any of the things on my list. My little man (18 months) is poorly, running a temperature and generally grizzly. I did go to Morrisons this evening when OH looked after the children and got lots of baked beans (Heinz on offer at 23p a tin!) and chopped tomatoes (the Napolina packs of 4 were half price), plus veggies and fruit etc. Cooked a healthy supper from scratch, but no housework jobs done at all.
Am not sure whether to do today's jobs tomorrow, or just go on to tomorrow's list and leave today's jobs until next week. (if you see what I mean!!)
Anyway, I think I'll make a decision in the morning when I see how my little man is. I shall stand in the living room, hall and kitchen, and pick one which will get my attention for the day. I've promised DD2 that she can help me make fish cakes tomorrow afternoon, so that's one thing that definitely has to be done. I've also got to do 2 loads of washing as I got nothing done on that score today either.
Have scanned through the thread, although it's enormous. Well done to everyone who crossed out loads of stuff from their list.
    Lilo, big hugs to you!
Night night all. I am going to try and pop in tomorrow with progress (or lack of reports) so look forward to seeing you all then!

((hugs for baby nell2)) hope he's feeling better soon.

Right, empty washer, empty drier, refill washer, refill dryer, phone DP to remind him about appointment tomorrow aswell as drop a hint that if he could empty and reload when he gets in I'd appreciate it (because my shoulder is hurting) don't care that he can't switch it on, oh and do a list of times they both last had meds (DS1 got gum ache, DS2 tonsils still) so he doesn't OD them when he gets in if they wake up, then off to bed.

Goodnight everyone, thanks for putting up with me being in a supermoanyhadnosleep mood today :D Might pop in tomorrow before I go back to bed :rotfl:

cheers lil_me and kaz , would love to go back to bed after S at school, but as a second best am going to do the first session of this nutrition study thing. Getting £100 plus either same again or fruitnveg paid for for 4 months for participating. Tomorrow I have to lie down for half an hour while they measure various stuff. Then there are 4 morning long visits after that. My friend doing it too and we are planning to look after each others kids.
Tomorrow could be lovely providing baby doesn't whinge, am bringing her with me as its only half an hour. Maybe they will let her lie down beside me and I can feed her lying down like I do in bed on the weekend LOL.

Well the bottles are made and I am off to bed myself.
((((Hugs)))) to everyone whether you need one or not

Have been doing the lists but not posting - taking ages just keeping up with reading the threads!

Thinking of so many of you having tough times.

    Cha97michelle -
I checked our internet banking last night and we had a random payment for 140ish pounds, neither me or DH are expecting it, and the details for the payer were "SA". I have a sneaking suspicion it may be DH's self assessment as he said he was due a refund, but told me about 40 pounds. Anyone have anything similar and know what it might be?

Yes SA on your bank statement does stand for Self Assessment and will be the tax refund - the Inland Revenue just expect you to understand their annoying habits!

  • I hope everyone is ok, and hugs for anyone that's needing / wanting one. I am going to try and catch up with this thread over lunch.

witchypoo I have been thinking of looking into Reiki myself. Silly question, but do you have to massage at the same time? I have mild arthritis in my fingers and wrists so actual massage would hurt. And is it through a college or practitioner your training with?
No question is silly! No you don't massage but hold your hands in different positions for a few minutes each time, teacher says she has taught even people with only one hand or limited range of movement in their arms so anyone really can do it. I am training via my adult education centre so check yours out!

Mudbath yes I can work on people with Reiki I but working on self each day is recommended even for advanced practitioners! I'm going to do me before I go this morning, once I feel a little more human :)

    Solwaykid thank you!

Right off to get into the mood for class today, I've got to do an hour's work on a fellow student this morning :)
