Wow! Huge thread nowadays, glad to see that flylady's helping so many people. Thanks solway, we're really hoping we'll get the place, it's not in such good condition as ours, but the bedrooms are bigger and there's a garden for the littles!

JillD, well done for coping with the whole internet banking thing. Somtimes I think it's not the actual problem that bothers you, but the monkeys that are supposed to help you sort it. They do have a training program, it goes like this: "Ooooh, oooooh, eeeeeeh eeeeeeh, aaaaah aaaaah".

Lilo, I'm so sorry. Lots of hugs sent to you. We're here if you need us.

Lil_me, it may be a thoroughly stupid idea, so ignore me if it is! How about inflatable mattresses for the boys? Would they accept them? They're quite waterproof, so would be easier to clean and would be much smaller for landfill if they did get damaged (also cheaper).

Ok, another busy day in the maralum household. DH in the shower, baby eating breakfast and DS watching Takeshi's castle.

I'll have to re-post with the list as I forgot to copy it. D'oh.

    Morning

Lilo massive hugs to you, you must be devastated, fingers crossed it's positive news when you go on Friday (((((((((hugs))))))))) xx

It's a chilly one here this morning brrrrrr I wouldn't be surprised if we got snow.

Just bits and pieces to do today really. Got to take some catering stuff back to the caterers after I've washed them up, maybe a bit of food shopping, gonna wing it today - just chill!

I am considering a steam cleaner for the mattresses if/when the letter comes, the vax isn't helping get the smells out enough, DSs being so 'smell sensitive' can't cope with the smell of a 'wee mattress' but someone said a steam cleaner is much better at it. I hate the thought we are throwing 1-2 matresses a month onto landfill aswell as all the pull ups etc.

My DS3 (fostered) is incontinent. He has multiple disabilities. He often removes his sheets which obviously made the problem many times worse.
I have recently bought a water proof mattress for his bed (£100) and it has been a godsend. I still use the 'kylie' sheets under his normal one to absorb the bulk of the urine if he has left it on.
I use a steam cleaner on the mattress (not a nice job... smells terrible at the time) and it really does help with odour control. Also we replaced the carpet with laminate floor as if the sheets went on the follor the smell transfered to the carpet. A quick mop keeps this fresh.
