morning to you all!
Got a busy day today, DS1s ironing , lots of shirts for work etc, soup making, breadmaking, yorkie making, housework, taking Ds back to his lodgings the list goes on!
We finally had a letter to say that the other party in DS1s accident (2nd one) is claiming against his insurance - took them long enough as it happened in early december! so it will be a long time before DS can afford to insure a car again(he's 17) still I'm pleased he's off the roads, he's coping ok with cycling to work - just gets fed up being away from his friends in the week. he came home yesterday and has gone on a sleepover/all night party to a friends last night so we wont see much of him before he goes back tonight!
DS2 also went on a sleepover/ all night party and went to a friends house first( a girl) to put his eye make up on!   twice now he's come home with eyeliner on! shall have to lock my make-up bag away!:D His Dads calling him Boy George!:D
have a lovely day all, must get on and start the work!
Take care xxxDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning all
DLB keep going you will feel much richer and healthier for it:j .
Hugs to those who need it and TATTYCATH hope your head is better.
Woke up this morning to find that WM had not switched on on timer:mad: . Have had to wash it on normal electricity:eek: . Gas and electricity are now on on-line billing so should be able to keep an eye on them a bit better.
Had a chat to my best friend yesterday who is really fed up. She's had money probs for a long time and EXOH is such a pratt and has never paid for anything for his 16 year old daughter. Have put her on to this website she will have a look at it tomorrow at work as she doesn't have the internet at home. She's such a lovely girl and doesn't deserve this and neither does her daughter who's so bright and deserves to go to university just like everyone else.
Have got loads to do today, making bread, tidying, ironing, getting things ready for tomorrow. Going to work at 1pm, extra shift as we are so short-staffed and if I didn't go in my ward manager would work it as a long day and that's not fair on her either.
Felt really p****d off the other day when a friend of mine turned up with a brand new car she'd bought out of OH savings, because her old one was too expensive to repair (she takes it to the Nissan garage so I'm not suprised!). I wouldn't mind but he gives her £800 housekeeping money a month to do what she wants with:mad: . Sorry to moan just feel so jealous as she doesn't have to go out to work. I try not to get into this state of mind and feel positive about things as they are much better than they were and I know that life is not fair. Sorry to be so negative folks.
Must get my a**e in gear. Have a good day all :A xxxxx0 -

Need to get dd to try her clothes on today so can pack, have horrible filing job to do and three weeks of work tomorrow but I know it will be worth it. Hopefully will really enjoy our holiday and get ready to really knuckle down when we come home. I will be watching every penny and ebaying everything in site.

morning all,
Not long been up, its quite blowy here, so might get a wash on the line.
I think we might have a quiet day here, take dog out this morning, then lunch of FR chicken, spuds veg and yorkies, then flop out for the afternoon.
I can't remember who said about the free light bulbs in the sun yesterday, but thank you, OH and I queued up seperatly and got two each, gave the newspaper to someone in the street.
Amie I hope you feel better soon,
donna keep up the good work xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning Everyone
Its been aweek since I last posted but have been having a scan read. Well done to DLB you can do it Donna. Pretty soon you'll be able to smell a fag breath at 40 paces and wonder why you ever walked around smelling like that!
I have been super busy doing various tax returns but there all finished and submitted. My lovely dads was less than he expected so he has given us some money for a holiday. But I've decided to split it between clearing our last credit card debt and going on holiday.
So from the middle of next week we will offically be debt free for the first time since we have lived togerther. I'm going to look for a holiday in France proberbly posh camping as I call it in a ready errected tent.
Havent been doing much OS because my oven is still out of commission it quiet frustrating but I managing with the SC, MW, George Foreman and a camping stove.
I'm doing Chicken in the SC for tea and have a very large pile of ironing to get through later.
Have a good sunday everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning everyone
Slept until 10! Could hardly move when I woke up. I must have slept in the same position for so long that I had seized up. Feel better for it. Don't feel particularly lively today though so I don't think I will doing too much. Uniforms are ready and PE kits done too so no pressure.
DS is currently doing a past paper in preparation for his GCSE Maths exam tomorrow. He really is planning well and making sure he studies enough - all of a sudden he seems so mature. I'm very proud of him.
DD got a phone call last night from one of the boys she was friends with at primary school. A group of them (boys and girls) are getting together on Friday afternoon to catch up and she has been asked to go. She has also been invited to a friend's house after school tomorrow. She has a better social life than me.
Dinner is roast chicken with all the trimmings. Lunch will be something from the fridge. My fridge seems to be full of stuff but I'm not sure what so I need to empty it out and re-stock it. That will be today's job. Need to do some general tidying round too.
scuzz noticed in your signature that you are showing your weight as 10st 15lbs. There are only 14lbs in a stone. So are you lighter than you thought?
Have a super Sunday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Well, thats my plan for the day messed up. Just taken the load of washing out and it stinks!! A nice burning electrical/rubber smell - it made me vomit all over the clean washing it was so unpleasant. But I don't know if it's the washer, the new washing powder I used or the hollowfibre pillows I was washing. I need OH to have a look at it but he is running around all day - he's just got back, but doesn't really have the time to look at it. Grr!We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0

Have to go shopping soon as there is hardly anything in the fridge as we have not shopped for a while.
Had a lovely day yesterday with DD(18) and (14) in Newcastle and bought DD a young person's railcard that will last for a year.
DD might be coming home for the weekend -yippee!
Have just phoned DD(22) in Oxford and she is going to see a friend in London later and sounds quite happy.
Another DD needs a jacket as the zip has broken on hers so might need to go to York to look for one after grocery shoping.
Hugs to everyone feeling poorly.
No idea what to have for dinner later but will worry about that after shopping!"This site is addictive!"

Morning all - having a slow day because I only slept for a couple of hours. DH and stepkids are going out at 2.00 to Granny's so I have the day to myself. I intend to:
- finish laundry
- sort out a better workbag + prepare gymkit for tomorrow
- clear cupboard under stairs + diningroom fireplace which is full of junk
- clean front windows
- clean inside fridge
- wash kitchen floor
- maybe do an exercise DVD
Then chill for the rest of the day. I now have bookshelves in the bedroom so want to put the books in order.0
