have you read the rest of my posts?
I have, yes, I had a good giggle at the "breaking into houses" bit - brings a literal meaning to cat burglar eh! If the furniture is yours, how will you loose your despsit if a cat pees on it? It's yours...
I must have mis read your first post though, it says there was already a cat flap installed when you moved into the house - I missed the bit where you replaced it with a £40 one at your own expense within the time that you left your next post the following day. Sorry about that.
I'm not saying it isn't an awful thing to have happen, especially with young children in the house. I definitely not a cat person myself, but things happen, and it costs us money. Are we really going the way of our American cousins where we see every opportunity to get the money out of somebody else? You were going to get the place cleaned anyway - there is no extra expense - so why should somebody else pay?
As for mine being an annoying comment, you're on a public board, and not every comment will match your exact train of thought.
Best of luck, hope you get it sorted soon. Good luck with your house move too, at least it's not a problem for much longer eh!0 -

I agree.
My cat jumped over our fence into a back garden when she was a kitten where there was a dog and the owners sprayed her with their water hose and she got a real fright but she learnt not to do it again.HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

Sorry Alfiesmum, was on a bit of a grump this morning when I posted that - earlier had found another spot and had to get it cleaned before taking the eldest to school and before youngest started prodding around in it, and was a bit hacked off that some posters seemed to think I'd brought it all on myself - I'm just a cat owner minding her own business who wants her cat to be able to go in and out as she pleases (and has paid for the ruddy privelege in catflaps) ! I was only thinkg of the presenting a bill route as the owners might see neutering as a kinder and less expensive solution than having to pay for cleaning etc. sadly, many people only respond when it's in their financial best interests... And it really is in the cat's best interest to be 'done'. I don't fancy its chances if it goes running across the road with its hormone head on, unfortunately, and while it may be a big pain in the bum, having nursed a broken leg on my cat I certainly wouldn't wish that on it.0

I can just visualise the owner going around P***ing all over the furniture while the cat watched and learnt...:T0
