    Hi everyone,

Got a viewing on a house in St Albans on Saturday (thanks Ampersand:kisses3: )and for this I need to do a pre rent determination with St A District Council so will be hotfooting there first thing on Monday morning, and one on a property in HH recommended by Bernard Davies from DGS (another pre rent determination needed), also another Private LL rang me today and said that he has a property coming up in HH which he would like me to see but it won't be for a week or so.

However.............solicitor rang to say that accom hasn't been extended to allow for more time to find somewhere - fine thats what I had thought anyway and what I had worked myself up to expect, then she rang me to say that she has received S202 letter from council and that we DO have grounds to appeal on the Mental Health aspect so she can go for an extension to the accom, so we discussed this and felt that it would less irritate the council if I did just move out - so moving out on Saturday.

THEN 6pm Mike Penning rang (I now have his mobile number!!) and said that he is going for an extension to this accom and will let me know tomorrow as he feels that the twins and I should be helped by SS in finding somewhere permanent for us to live.

So, I feel like today has been like a day out at Alton Towers with continuous rides on the rollercoaster:eek: .

Good luck with the viewing mot:A How are you, i-t and the gorgeous twins keeping? I really admire your strength and determination.

Not coping very well so it is a big thanks to Ampersand for arranging one of the viewings and another to the man from DIGS giving me details of the other. Said to I-T tonight that I have had 23 months of not knowing where I am going to live and for how long and I'm not sure how much more I can take:confused:

  • Hang in there, MOT, you're doing great! There will be an end to all this. You've been so strong for so long, just hold on for a little while more.

  • Keep your chin up, MOT - things have definitely improved, & if all else fails you've still got the right to appeal on a point of law. Don't worry about whether you irritate the council or not by exerting your rights - they weren't over-bothered about "irritating" you (to put it mildly) when they said you were intentionally homeless. If exerting your rights gives you more time to find somewhere decent, so be it - you're entitled. :)

Evening Mot, I-T and the twins,
Just caught up with the posts :D It all sounds promising :T so good luck will keep everything crossed for you all.

Do take the time to rest whenever you can even if it's just lying on the bed for an hour, reading a book or watching the telly. Your body at least gets a recharge when you rest even if you're not asleep.

How are the twins doing? They sound like a couple of angels :A Your twin rocks of strength :D

  • Hope

    by Brian Quinn

When all about you is black with gloom,
And all you feel is pending doom.
When your bones are racked with grim despair -
When every breath is a gasp for air.
Keep on going, though you need to grope,
For around the bend is a ray of hope.

A ray of hope is perhaps all that's left,
As your will to live has been bereft.
You've lost it all, it's just no use!
You can end it all, you need no excuse.
But throw away that piece of rope,
And give yourself a chance of hope.

    Just give yourself another day,
Brushing aside what your thoughts may say.
This is your life and you can make a new start,
By ignoring the brain - just follow the heart.
Taking baby steps in order to cope,
And minute by minute you'll build on your hope.

Build on your hope,. one day at a time,
Though the road be steep and hard to climb.
The hurts of the past - they should be dead.
The fears of the future are all in your head.
Just live in the present and refuse to mope
Your life will sparkle for you're living in hope.
