Hi everyone
This has turned into another thread about MOT. As a one-off, out of courteousy to the OP and her very long first postI'm going to close it rather than delete. Could you either continue the discussion about MOT on the specific thread linked to in the first post of this thread or, provided you're not going to mention MOT's situation can you start a new one thread and, also, keep it civil please!
Thanks!
Andrea

Hi everyone,
Got a viewing on a house in St Albans on Saturday (thanks Ampersand:kisses3: )and for this I need to do a pre rent determination with St A District Council so will be hotfooting there first thing on Monday morning, and one on a property in HH recommended by Bernard Davies from DGS (another pre rent determination needed), also another Private LL rang me today and said that he has a property coming up in HH which he would like me to see but it won't be for a week or so.
However.............solicitor rang to say that accom hasn't been extended to allow for more time to find somewhere - fine thats what I had thought anyway and what I had worked myself up to expect, then she rang me to say that she has received S202 letter from council and that we DO have grounds to appeal on the Mental Health aspect so she can go for an extension to the accom, so we discussed this and felt that it would less irritate the council if I did just move out - so moving out on Saturday.
THEN 6pm Mike Penning rang (I now have his mobile number!!) and said that he is going for an extension to this accom and will let me know tomorrow as he feels that the twins and I should be helped by SS in finding somewhere permanent for us to live.
So, I feel like today has been like a day out at Alton Towers with continuous rides on the rollercoaster:eek: .Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
Thinks so more promising on the whole, I know there is a chance of one week completely homeless, but untill today things looked like it could have been longer that that. In that case, can we tie your landlord to the coaster tracks?
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Good luck finding somewhere nice to live and if you cant afford St Albans then try Hatfield. OK certain parts of it arent that great but there are some nice parts like Old Hatfield, Hatfield Garden Village and some other parts. I think its quite a bit cheaper and there are very regular buses to St Albans.
I wish I could suggest some places or offer storage but I live in a 2 bed flat and have a lodger so definatly no spare room here!Debt Free - done
