Could someone please tell me whereabouts Dacorum is, and perhaps surrounding areas, at least then I can try to do some research for homes etc for MOT.

Main area is Hemel Hempstead, though Dacorum also includes Berkhamstead and Tring.

MoTs twins are changing school in September and will hopefully be allocated the St Albans school that MoT named first choice, so St Albans would also be good, though I think St Albans is expensive. (Actually Hertfordshire is expensive full stop.)

Ampersand and MoT were checking the HB situation, but as a rough guide I would expect full HB to be in the region of £800! I know this might shock readers in other areas but that is the situation for housing in this area.

    Hi Shal,

Thank you for that post. I found the 'other' one by chance and curiosity got the better of me - now I wish I hadn't! You are so right, there are a few evil and nasty posters on there who seem to think they 'know' me and are able to offer up their opinions which actually are totally out of order and most definately incorrect. So I will NOT be going on there again.
Good - I'm glad to hear it. :)

I posted a bit of a diatribe there in your defence earlier this morning, but I don't think I'll be going back to that thread after today either, otherwise I'll be tempted to look for a book of spells. :D I've never been in as bad a situation as you, but I've had enough hard times of my own to know that I wouldn't be as quick to sit in judgement of someone else as some of them seem to be. So many of those commenting about you haven't even read the threads, so they don't know anything like enough detail about your circumstances. :(

Concentrate on what matters - staying well, getting a new home, & some rest somewhere in between. :)

It is entitled "social housing crisis - an essay".

I really wouldn't bother going there.

    Hello MOT

You have a PM or 2 with some hoses for rent links.

If anyone is in touch with MOT, can they please let her know?
