pour a bottle of cheap coke down the toilet and leave it as long as you can then flush it gets loads of.back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0

EMpty the water out (I use a sponge) then take a pumice stone and scrub at it. It will come off without damaging the toilet. I did this to my manky toilet and it came up like new!:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

harpic 100% limescale remover is brilliant (as is the Tesco version apparently) but at the end of the day there is no substitute for getting down and dirty with a pumice!Millions long for immortality who don't know what to do with themselves on a rainy Sunday afternoon.0

The Tesco one costs about 69p and is in a blue toilet u-bend shaped bottle close to the bleach.
Highly recommend it.0 -
Hi
I tried everything ( the coke made it worse by the way ) and then someone on here recommended harpic limescale remover and that worked within half an hour of putting it down the toilet was sparkly with almost no effort from me!!!0 -
I use the tesco's version. I also use it (a different bottle!) around my sinks as well.0

I pour Domestos original bleach in to soak for half an hour then give it a good scrub with the toilet brush. If it's really stubborn, repeat.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0

I use Oust descaler sachets on my shower, kettle etc but not tried it in the loo. It is about £1.70 for 3 sachets and works really well with the shower head so maybe worth a try;)0

That only makes the scale white, though, it doesn;t remove it.
I say get a pumice! It's very satisfying! you can use it on scale around sink and bath plugholes, too as long as it's not plastic.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I tried this overnight, I emptied the water out first but it just left the limescale a darker colour and two dismayed children who couldn't believe I'd stuck a perfectly good drink down the loo!
I think I will give the tesco limescale remover a go.
I guess the main thing is to bleach the loo regularly to stop it forming in the first place.:rolleyes:0
