Yea I'll definitely let you know if I manage to get to sample the cake at all, trouble is I would have to wait until I pop back home to my folks which won't be until late this month (no Waitrose around me here), what I might do is email them and see if they can post me a small sample?!?
  • Thanks boosas...the nearest Waitrose to me is about 15 miles away so if I do order it that's where i'll have to pick it up. I may email them myself actually come to think of it (if you don't mind me pinching your idea? lol)

P.S. when are you getting married?

No of course not I don't mind at all! We're getting married in July, I see your date is in May, I hope all your planning is going smoothly! You got your dress sorted yet?
  • Great thanks - i'll email them later! yep i've got my dress at the absolute bargain price of £136!! and it's lovely too. Plans are going ok at the moment, the only things we've got left to sort out are the photographer, suit hire and the cake! How's the planning going with you??

aw brilliant it's a great feeling once you have the dress isn't it? I've got my dress as well and can't stop looking at it, need to get it fitted and altered though.

I've still got quite a lot to sort out (eeks) but so far have sorted out the dress, venues, and shortlisting cakes at the mo!

Getting the invites from overseas as its cheaper, also things like shoes, veil, balloons and ribbons and probably the rings too! I'll be travelling in Feb so hopefully will get a lot of wedding stuff cheaper and bring back.

Then need to sort out flowers, photographer, suits and bridesmaids outfits... oh gosh it sounds like I still have so much to do... I'm starting to PANIC NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me know if you have any joy with Waitrose, as soon as I hear anything I'll let you know!

Don't panic, once venue, registrar and food are booked it you're half way there!

  • Hi

My friend had a Waitrose wedding cake and it was lovely. In fact I will be ordering mine from there in about 6 months!

  • I got 6 free Waitrose wedding cake samples - just ask at the local store, they call you in 2 weeks or so later to pick them up....and what a wonderful 10 days I've had eating through them all!!! They are around 4inches in diameter each and so tasty...
