Hang on..neither CORGI nor IGEM draft the law of the land and therefore surely the only pertinent regulations are those contained within the GSIUR and also with due references and compliance with the manufacturers installations instructions.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

I agree to a point, but representatives of gas industry, from many quarters, sit on committees that propose what the regs contain.

Even I have attended a few of these meetings. It is an eye opener what goes on and how they come to some conclusions.

I must say I enjoy that kind of thing, especially as I was the only one attending who was 'on the tools'.
  • I am aware of the reason for and how an FSD stsem works. I wondered if you were a gas fitter and could help. One burner lights OK but goes out when I release the knob for that burner. It used to work and all the others work well. I presume there is a sensor of some sort at the burner point itself that senses when the flame is there keeping the gas valve ope. What I need is some one to confirm this for me and suggest how I can repair it and what part to get. It is an IGNIS..I bought as part of a pack at B & Q. THEY ARE NO HELP. Regards. The thermocouple/FSD has gone on that particular burner.

You need to get a local GSR appliance repairer in to replace and fix it, as hobs and cookers can be a nightmare to remove, take apart, fix and re-assemble.

Although I fit and check hobs/cookers, I would not consider repairing them.
