Ta.the whole thing is so darned confusing .First they make it 1st Jan then when they see that man'frs arent ready they make it 1st June and it seems that they are still not ready which is why I read that last document as saying that non FSD cookers could still be installed but labelled NCS ( and thats the way I STILL read it) . I mean if they regard it as unsafe to have these cookers in flats then why don't they just ban them ..WHY ??.....because they know perfectly well that the public would NOT stand for it that's why.:mad:0 -
So..I am still confused.... from that corgi guidance bulletin, it suggested that it is not okay to fit new appliances without a FSD (in region of £400+, and out of my price range), but it IS okay to fit a second-hand one?????
Did I read that right, because it wasn't very clear....
Anyone know?Halifax Credit Card: [STRIKE]£4915[/STRIKE] NEXT Directory: [STRIKE]£1980[/STRIKE]JD Williams: [STRIKE]£1984[/STRIKE] British Gas: [STRIKE]£394[/STRIKE] First Direct [STRIKE]£2985[/STRIKE]Debt-free for over 2 years now!!! :j0 -

im a bit confused by all this too now
im moving house into a flat and just found out about this policy or whatever and now i feel a bit strange about it all....
my mum bought us a cooker from her catalogue and it has no mention of fsd or whatever there called - and she paid extra for 3 days delivery AND connection! only to have some man delivery it yesterday WITHOUT a hose and say non they dont come with hoses and you need corgi registered person to connect it
so how ,uch would it be to get it fitted - or would the corgi person jsut osme out and say u cant have this in a flat?
im confused by this! lol0 -

Well to me connection means connection .If it had a hose fitted then connection would simply be like fitting a light bulb if the other part of the connection was already there and anyone can do that ..(He is right ..they used to sell cookers with hoses already attached but for some reason they stopped that )...If not then whoever they sent out should have been able to fit the hose and make the connection .What was he there for if not ? Phone up Argos CS and aks why they sell the cooker to include connection if the guys they send out cannot do the work .0 -

Have looked on the Currys site and all the gas cookers at the cheaper end of the market, which would be perfectly adequate, are described as 'may not be installed in flats'.
Why not? And where can I find a gas cooker that MAY be installed in a flat?
