  • Hello all. Horrible here too, wet and windy. Yuk.

Not much news from the Filttersnoop household. I have to screech round with the microfibre cloth and vinegar in a minute and generally tidy up, then I have a quick lunch planned with a friend whose birthday it is. This afternoon I think I will just hunker down with the cat and a hot chocolate and wait for spring to come.

However I HAVE put a beef stew in the slow cooker, fed the cat, me, and the birds in the garden, made smoothies for DD and I for breakfast and made the bed so am not being totally slobby (yet).

Hugs to all those not well. PP and Catowen, look after yourselves...

Have a good day everyone. Try and stay dry!!

    Mrs F xx

    Morning all,

OH has caught the lurgy now too . I am feeling a bit brighter now - not so exhausted, although I did not sleep well last night and have quite a hacking cough, which is making me feel very sick. I am supposed to be working 6 til 6 tomorrow, but think I am going to have to pass. Will try and do a few jobs today and see how I get on.

Did not do anything yesterday, was completely whacked, just spent the whole day asleep.

So, hope you all have a good day xx

    morning again,

Have had a good tidy through, hoovered mopped dusted etc, hung up DD's bedding on airer, and changed our bed, (I hate that job, and normally get OH to do it:A ) will wash it tomorrow.

Anniebooklover, unfortunatly my hygenist is NOT an attractive young man, but a very brutal older woman, who tells me off for eating curry and drinking red wine :D , but have got to see the dentist on thursday with DD, my dentist only works school houes and term time, so both DD and I have to take the afternoon off :o .

Cat... you know what I'm going to say don't you ? same as all the others, take care xx

Mrs mix hope the insurance gets sorted soon x
Pooky :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: at your parrot

I'm feeling very motivated today - have been cooking up a storm to last me the next few days - roasted a chicken the other night, used leftovers last night to make chicken supreme...mmmmmmm! Also made a bacon and egg pie that will do dinner and a few lunches. I love feeling so organised! :D

Morning all! Its another day off work for me

Last night OH came to bed telling me that the dishwasher was totally dead and we were going to have to get someone in to fix it. I got up this morning with a small panic on (owning a house is a money drain and it all seems to come at once!). Anyway, needless to say, all I have done is switched it off and on again at the mains and it works like a charm!

Today is another spend no money day (ok, I spent money from the joint account in the supermarket, but that wasn't my money!). I've decided that its going to be a list things on ebay and freecycle day today

I've got a lights wash to do and will change the sheets on the spare bed as well. Dinner is made and in the fridge.

Still have blocked up ears and therefore feel like I'm on a boat and a bit travel sick all the time. Doctor says I need to try and pop my ears like you do on a plane, but its not helping. Anybody got any tips.

morning everyone - and to those who follow/cross postings with me

For once its not raining here - just throughout the rest of the country! We do have snow scheduled for the rest of teh week though - not looking forward to that.

trying to pack up some more things today for the move next week. Taking things slowly and working through what actually needs to come, what can be chucked etc. Listed a few things on ebay and very jealous of penny-pinchers success! I think you should run tutorials on what sells and how to sell well!

    Washing machine on
got dishes to do (OH left them for me :( )
Mr Badexample has inspired me to make some muffins or cupcakes this afternoon
must have a whizz round the house with the hoover and a cloth.

    l: baked potato
    d: chilli and rice

Hi - I'm back on with yet another coffee - I don't suppose that helps my sleep pattern; I like it black, very strong and no sugar! Mind, I don't drink loads in the evenings and I have tea all afternoon, not that that helps either. It's worse when DH is home because he's always putting the kettle on!

TRU - fingers crossed that there is no more flooding in your neck of the woods. It would be dreadful.

    PENPIN - (((Hugs))) to you.

CATOWEN - you'll know when you should see the doctor, won't you. Please don't take any chances - it's not worth it.

JAYWARD, BLAIRWEECH and ODDSNSODS - sending lots of (((hugs))) to you, too, and hope you all start feeling better soon.

REDRUBY - good luck at the hygienist!

    TAPLADY - (((Hugs))) to TAPLORD.

Well, I actually went out; I needed milk, tomatoes and peppers, so I had to brave the weather. I nearly got blown over more than once and the wind nearly took the car door off when I opened it. It made an awful creaking noise so I'll get DH to check it later. I only spent £1.66 - I wasn't tempted to go into any other shops because I just wanted to get back home. I can hear the wind now - it's really noisy so I hope no-one suffers any damage.

Well, off to update my spending diary; I'm finding it really useful to help keep track of things. Then I'm going to carry on with my paperwork, have an early lunch and try and get half an hour's kip before DGS comes round after school!

See you all later. Keep dry and CAT - keep an eye on those bruises; that's an order.
