    Good Morning All

Nothing exciting happening here today. Its wet and miserable here too. Have got to go out to town for a small errand & thats it, OH didnt work last night so he is doing the school run :j I hate the school run in winter.

OH is planning to change all bedding, hoover and wash floors so that gives me time in my office to do another big filing job - have 2 left - 1 business & 1 personal. I get it up straight and promise myself I will do it weekly but it doesnt happen - will have to be stricter with myself.

DS at footie training tonight so we are having jacket pots with chilli or tuna mayo - nice and easy.

Days are going slower now for us as its so near our holiday, going to book swiming with manatees later - that will be interesting.

Hope you all have a great day.

Hi there - just back on here with a coffee.

AUSSIE - I only cope if the sleep I did have was all in one go, which it has been for the last two or three nights, BUT, by the end of the week I'll be really flagging. I try and have a half hour doze in the afternoon which helps. I find that if I have my last caffeine drink before 9pm I get to sleep quicker and stay asleep so that's what I've been doing but it seems very 'old lady' to me! Apparently, the older you get the less sleep you need! By the time I'm 60, I won't need any and I'll be on here 24/7!!

PAM - I do hope your DH's truck is sorted out soon - it's horrible when they can't earn, isn't it? That's what I hate about my DH being self-employed. Every day he doesn't go to work is less money and you can't enjoy it as a day off. I wish he would go and work for somebody but I don't think he ever will. Despite the drawbacks, he loves it. It's just me who doesn't! I did my freezer and cupboards yesterday and was surprised by how much I had. I'm trying not to do a big shop this week and maybe next week as well, until I've used it all up.

The weather here is dreadful. It was bad all night and I was hoping it would have blown itself out by morning - I hate thinking of all the mums and children who have to walk to school in the pouring rain. My grandchildren's schools are awkwardly located. The infants, where DGD is, is about 15 minutes walk from the juniors, where DGS is. So you have to take DGS to his first, then take DGD to hers - and in reverse at the end of the day - it's a real palaver for DIL with all the bags they have to carry these days. I wish they would go back to the way it was when I was at school when you kept to the same classroom, and had your own desk to keep everything in, and the teachers came to you. I think the children have to carry so much these days.

Well, DH left early to beat the traffic so I've got loads done already and will make another start on the mountain of paperwork, then I need to go out for a couple of things and then get somemore paperwork done. I'm going to buy some Aran wool for a handbag I want to knit that I found in my new knitting magazine. It only takes one 50gm ball so it shouldn't take long or cost too much. I want to make it for my DIL-to-be for her birthday in March.

Anyway, WM has just finished; it's a towel wash and I shall hate myself, but I shall dry it in the TD - no chance of getting it on the line today!

Hope the weather isn't too bad where you are.

    Will pop back later.

    Morning :hello:

Rain rain rain and wind  There's flood warnings here. Master tru is working on houses that were flooded last year, they've only just dried out and owners are itching to get back in. Hope they're not affected again, though they're on the Tewkesbury Road so it doesn't look good frown.gif

My plan for today has changed thanks to the weather - if I don't get back into the garden soon I'll go nuts :D

There's not much to do in the house so I'll just gather up all the bits that always seem to lose their way and put them back in their proper places. The bathroom could do with a good swishing too.

  • Morning Guys!

Not a good night for me last night, so will just be on the sofa today with my pillows and quilt. Sounds awful out there anyway, so probably best place for me;) Have the nurse coming in about 9am for an injection.

Did well on Ebay yesterday. Sold 3 items and made just over £50:j :j :j ...so have moved £50 over to the savings account. I also bought the Tightwad gazzette for £4 inc postage yesterday too.

DD did well with her interview yesterday and now knows what is expected from her to enable her to get to university for her Zoology degree. The school is very happy with her progress and have told her to keep up the good work. She was ever so chuffed with herself! She is a good girl and we are very proud of her.

OH is still debating what to do with the money and I think he is going to get a new TV:confused: ...he has been going on about a new one for the last year, but as we've been trying to clear the credit card, it has just not been possible. We really need a new sofa, but was budgeting for that this year anyway. I really want him to buy something, then say "My folks bought me that!":D

We are all gutted, as MY folks announced they were going to Florida again this Xmas. I am not going to be well enough to go this year, so we are looking at 2009 now, then the Harry Potter section will be set up at Universal. Oh well....will just have to give her a list of things to bring for us:rotfl: Its SOOOOOOOOOOOOO unfair though!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, back to OS:o WM has been on and needs going on the airer. DW will be put on later once full and toilet has been scrubbed. OH is washing the shower curtain for me today and is finishing waxing the other pine door downstairs. I also really need a freezer inventory done this week.

    Hugs to all.

    morning all

really manky weather here, just getting the kids off to school.
film was funnily in a teenage imature way last night but still made us laugh and weve paid good money to see worse so it was a good night out, pub had run out of lasagne so ended up with jacket spud and cheese for tea, it was nice and filling loads of salad.

i hope everyone gets all their problems sorted today and the bad weather doesnt cause any more

boys have clubs tonight so staggered tea must get organised mid afternoon for that and have the walk in the rain to take them to the first club to look forward too

    Good morning everyone,

Already have 2 here (although one is being taken to school) so a bit busy this morning. DS is up, but DD is still in bed, so will be shouting in a minute!!!

I know what its like not to sleep, it can take me hours to drop off, and then i normally wake 2 - 3 times before the alarm goes off. Im sure i get more sleep than i think sometimes, but im used to it now, although sometimes it does get on top of me, and then the doctor tends to prescribe something to help.

Had a really productive day yesterday, while doing drawing with the LO, i decided to sort out all the childminding stuff under the stairs, so its all lovely and clean, and ive managed to get rid of a load of stuff too (some in the bin, some in a box ready for a car boot). LO had a lot of fun trying to help  .

Did notice lots of bruises on my hands and arms yesterday as well, which isnt a good sign - i really do believe in the power of thought now, i think i was so keen to be discharged from the hospital that i mustve willed my levels to be high, because i know from the bruising that they have dropped now - but they arnt big enough for me to be worried yet, so im def staying away from the doctors, i dont want to be refered back up there again. I will add, i do know how important it is to keep an eye on it, and really, if i was worried i would go (im not one who will leave it until its too late) it just isnt pretty, all these bruises. Luckily its winter, so long sleaves and trousers cover them up!!

Will be doing my first proper shop of the year today, LO loves the big Tesco, so we will be off there to scare the grannies - cos im always talking to the LO and they can think im talking to them. I like having a LO with me, cos i do get into the habit of talking to myself when im on my own, cos im not used to it!!! So if you are ever in a shop in Plymouth, and see a woman going 'oh look, apples' to no one in particular, its prob me  !!!

OK, off to shout at DD, still no movement from her room!!!

Hope everyone has a lovely day
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
