Did notice lots of bruises on my hands and arms yesterday as well, which isnt a good sign - i really do believe in the power of thought now, i think i was so keen to be discharged from the hospital that i mustve willed my levels to be high, because i know from the bruising that they have dropped now - but they arnt big enough for me to be worried yet, so im def staying away from the doctors, i dont want to be refered back up there again. I will add, i do know how important it is to keep an eye on it, and really, if i was worried i would go (im not one who will leave it until its too late) it just isnt pretty, all these bruises. Luckily its winter, so long sleaves and trousers cover them up!!

Please keep an eye on this and you MUST go back to your GP if this continues!!....do you promise??? Hugs and kisses though:D

    Morning everyone
well the weather sounds the same here, i`ve not opened the blinds yet but can hear the rain hitting the windows and the wind howling away.
I`ve done absolutely nothing so far apart from have a cuppa and i`ll be having another one shortly :D
Once i`ve finally woken up properly i`ll be off around the house leaving a trail of tidyness behind me, got an awful lot to do today which is why i need to get a move on before i go to work.
I didn`t sleep too well which is why i still feel really tired but once i get going i know it will be fine.
I hope everyone has a good day, try not to mind too much about the weather i`m sure spring is only around the corner and it IS starting to get a little lighter at night too!
    Catch you all later.

Woke up early and DDs and DH are off so had a look on here and a low carb breakfast and a pot of tea.

Cold wet and windy here and am tempted to go to bed with a cup of tea and a book for an hour - then race around looking busy for DH when he gets back early.

Making cauliflower cheese and spicy potato wedges for tea and might make a stew in the slow cooker if I feel inspired later.

    morning all!

weather here pretty vile and the roads are bad, luckily I'm not going anywhere as I have 2 days off:j DH is off work again with his bad back, went in this morning but had to come straight back home and go to bed. Rest is the only thing he can do now.

Mrs_Mix - sorry your DH isn't earning, my DH is off too and even if he has just 1 day off it makes a huge difference to our already tight budget. He tries to work even when he shouldn't because he worries about money so much.I will be doing the same as you and going through the cupboards for next weeks menus.

PenPin - sorry to hear you had a bad night, hope you feel better later

Catowen - look after yourself and do as PP says!;)

Got to go into town this morning for some fruit and veg and a coffee and cake at the WI with Mum. Hope the rain dies down as I want to walk, need the exercise and fresh air.

have a great day all and be careful if you are out on the roads!

  • Morning all

Been to the blood clinic for my diabetes screening blood tests. Nurse was a bit of a butcher and my arm is still stinging from the needle. However, I know that there are people putting up with much more than I am so I will shut up about that now.

DS has orthodontist at 10.50 then I have to go into w**k after I take him back to school. Shouldn't be in today but there is so much to do and I need the money. After w**k will do the school run then DS, DD and I have the dentist. So that is my day off.

mioliere I noticed that quite a few people were having lasagne yesterday (me included) so today looks like spag bol day. :D Guess what we are having for dinner? BTW I couldn't survive on 4 hours sleep, two nights of that and I would be unbearable to live with.
HHester what's DILLIGAF? I have tried to figure it out but can't. Hope your day isn't as bad as you envisage.
redruby enjoy your visit to the dentist. I know I will. He is a gorgeous young man and DD thinks he is wonderful because he calls her "darling" and "pet".
mrs mix Life is really throwing the brown stuff at you at the minute. ((((hugs)))) I agree with donny gal btw. I think you should get DS helping with the washing. It's all good experience for him and helpful for you.
tru hope you won't be affected by the floods. I heard on tv that Glos has various flood warnings in place.
catowen please take care re the bruises. Like you, I hate going to hospital, doctor's, etc but it's a necessary evil IYSWIM.
jayward ((((hugs)))) to you. Hope you feel better soon.

I need to go and get myself organised now. May try and pop into Boots to see if there is anything worthwhile in the sale.

Have a tremendous Tuesday one and all. xx

    Morning all

Cat - Consider yourself told........(and :rotfl: at calling PP mum - she'll have you!!)

What a blummin awful morning - fingers crossed that no one will get flooded or have any damage with these high winds. My loft hatch keeps blowing open and making all the doors slam so I've wedged them all open now - had to move the parrots cage into the kitchen as he's getting all het up with the tree in the front garden moving around so much....he's currently swinging on his perch and whistling the simpsons theme tune with inserts of "Girls - get yer shoes on" and "Oliver - foooooood" (Oliver being our cat), he's good company sometimes (others he's just a noisy mess maker!)

I've cleaned all the work surfaces down this morning - moved everythign - cleaned it and put it all back nice and shiny, cleaned the hob properly and then went all guns blazing and attacked the oven which now looks great - then I promptly managed to let the mixed beans boil over and make a right mucky mess! Typical

Ironing to do today - then I must get some comping done - did an hours worth yesterday and showed DH that I'd installed Roboform for him so he could do the same........he got hooked and sat there for nearly 2 hours! Lets hope we win something!

We're on target to have paid £2k off our debt by the end of Feb (since 1st Jan that is)- when we did our new budget at the end of December we decided to pull our belts in as tight as possible and it's reaped huge rewards...will be trying to keep it up as long as possible.

Right - the ironing awaits - have fun all.

  • Good Morning all!

Off this PM to the consultant in Brum, foot is still sore right now, but I still hope the stitches can come out, if he doesn't want to take them out, I will ask if I can have my surgery do it + send him a letter so I dont' have to spend all day getting there + back.

Got root veg stew for lunch from last night, porridge for brekkie I think, then I'll get M+S for dinner, I hope, on the way back home.

I hope anyone who is under the weather is feeling better today, and CATOWEN -- go back to your GP!!!

Raining here as well, I hate going out when it's wet, it's different if I have to cause I'm working - I'm like a cat, I hate getting wet. (showers/baths/swimming not included.)

Morning All.Its another manky morning here too.

Any plans I had to go out are now firmly cancelled. They werent really firm plans anyway and I'd much rather stay in in the dry.Got all the bedrooms to do today and the beds to change plus a pile of baking and I promised the kids I'd play with the playdough with them so I wont be stuck for anything to do.Hubby finally finished his batch of late shifts last night so he'll be home at tea-time so I'm going to make Minced Beef and Onion Pie and veg.

To all of you that are poorly especially Penny pincher take it easy today and enjoy the rest instead of pushing yourselves to do something your body doesnt want to
