Thanks for the support guys - I feel a little better about things today.
It is a good idea about the food diary Bails, I have started one and will make sure I write everything down.
Brighton Belle - I do try to get out and walk my dog as often as I can, I couldn't last week as my knee was in pain - I wonder if that could have made that much of a difference? Also my consultant said I could have up to 20 syns a day - I can certainly cut down on those!:D
So just to say thanks again - it is so nice to have someone to talk to about it - that is someone who doesn't get bored talking about diets!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Loads of love

Does anyone ever wonder what they would be like if we weren't doing the things that we do now?
I guess this is a thought for the people who are struggling or those like me who find it impossible to stick to much
I would not say I lead a sedentary life...my commute to and from work clocks up 3.6 miles, I attempt to walk up the stairs when possible and generally make it to the gym at least once a week...twice most weeks....
There is something wrong with my diet I have to admit though I am definately not one of the people on tv who get throughb8 bags of crisps, 10 packs of biscuits and 20 choc bars a day and then are shocked by how easy it is to lose (by cutting out the crap...duh)...but it is something that will right itself in time...
so It always leads me to wonder....even though the weightloss is slow and frustrating...what on earth would I look like and feel like if I wasn't making any effort at all?
I'm assuming my body has gotten used to the exercise and I now need to look at upping it more (waiting for the pedometer freebie)0 -

It always makes things more watchable when you 'sort of' know someone, doesn't it.
......certainly does. He's definitely got himself a new car, athough I don't 'do' cars so I couldn't possibly tell you what brand it is. He jetted off on holiday on Thursday too, so I'm guessing that just goes to show that he was definitely right to say No Deal. £7k wouldn't have made a big difference to his lifestyle, whereas £35k would
Grannynise, it's a 3lb gain for me this week I'm afraid. It was expected, predicted, and I know why it happened. What's more, I'm not at all regretful
Still made the monthly challenge, bring on the next oneThanks in advance for your chart-updating skills.

Hi all. Not been on much since Thursday. Hurt my back and had problems sitting! I'm typing this kneeling on the floor!!! Not caught up yet but well done to all the losers and sts's and big hugs to those who didn't.
I have lost 1lb this week which means I have met my 5lb for the month target. V pleased. Will catch up later with the forum. Good luck to those who are yet to weigh.Need to sort my life out! :T0 -
Hey guys!
my free pedometre from the Times health club came today! so ive put that on in great anticipation!
Since the postman came ive done 74 steps haha. It will be low today cos i'll be on the computer doing college work. I wonder how little i move when im sat on the comp most of the day. Interesting.
My mum has said that from now on we have to do our own ironing. I can tell everyone now that when i move out i will be hiring the services of an ironer! It is so awful. Took me ages even with the radio on full blast. My sleepwear will be permantly creased from now on.0 -
Hi All
So many posts to catch up on. !!!
Had a mixed week this week , doing well on weekdays and blowing it at the weekend. No alcohol though just lots of cake and chococlate - with the odd mini doughnut here and there. oops. That blew my hopes of getting to my first half stone off but I did enjoy myself. lol!
Real downfall was not getting round to shopping for fruit and salad for snacks. So if I can stick with this, I need to make sure I have enough of the "right" food lying around.
Going away for 3 days so not sure how I will fare with a DBB arrangment at the hotel.....
Do you think it would be very "sad" of me to buy lots of fruits and take it with me for my hotel room??
But a weight loss this week of 2lbs.
So thats total of 6/50.
Good luck everyone who is still to be weighed.0 -
Today is the last weigh in of the current 5lb challenge. There are quite a few people who haven't posted a WI at all this month. Would it be acceptable for me to remove them from the chart on to a little chart of their own ... a sort of in abeyance chart .... which I wouldn't post? It would make the proper chart more readable.
Do let me know - particulalry if you are one of those who haven't sent a WI this month.0 -
Morning everyone, and congratulations to all the losers. Well done GN on reaching halfway, a big milestone indeed!:T
Marion, well done on being proactive and not letting the gain beat you - I really hope you find some answers this week and as BB wisely said, focus on a whole month rather than week to week.
Vix - ironing, what's that?!;)
Taffy, hope your back gets better soon.
Serendis, you don't necessarily need to up your exercise levels, try mixing it up a bit if you think your body has become complacent. Go for a swim or change your gym workout etc and this may well shock your body into further weight loss. I was wondering what I would be like if I hadn't made the choices I have, not on the WL front but generally; it was quite weird!
Good luck to everyone still to weigh and to everyone for the week ahead - I hope it's a great one for all of us. 1st week of Feb challenge! xxThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Granny...you are now keeper of the chart and your word is law...you may do as you wish0 -
Granny: if i could ever lose anything it would become the 8th wonder of the world.
I know i need to put more time into exercising but i really wish i had someone to go walking with, or go to the gym with or go swimming with. If i do it on my own i wont bother, which i dont! I do regularly do some dancing in the living room, but thats when someone goes out and never for all that long. I might take the pooch out for a walk later but he cant go far and i dont wanna pick up his poo.
So you can take me out of it untill i loose that first pound. Althoughi havent weiged in today but i had a chocolate bar last night and alot of alcohol saturday night and a chow mein so i think the chances are looking slim. But at least im not putting anything on right!0
