Suggs, the lines start at your hips and run downwards in a V shape.... I'm gonna have to stop there, getting all hot and bothered! And it's the one day OH is actually revising at uni... :D I don't have the energy for a game of scrabble anyway :rotfl:

You know what Ajax, I was just talking to Missy about that very thing this morning! I haven't done any since my first bet :o so it's definitely on my list to get going again. Will need to dig out the paperwork so I don't mess it up. How's it going for you?

....I've done none in a few months now, but have just started collecting new bookies names in preparation to get stuck in once the Champions League starts up again. I could do with a new cash generation scheme to replace stoozing.

Wanted to try stoozing/ cashback cards too but just got turned down by Capital One (presumably cos of my job status, or possibly because I have hardly any credit history - they cited this as a possible reason!! Is it worth appealing do you think?)

.... no harm in appealing I suppose, if you think there's something they may have overlooked... you could ask to speak to the underwriters on the phone or send a letter. I wanted A&L's 10%savings/6.1% current account package 2 or 3 years ago but got turned down for no reason - the only thing I could think of is that I said I'd pay the minimum qualifying amount into my current account per month. Upon that, I wrote a latter saying I was intending to see how things went first before porting all of my personal finance from Natwest to A&L if it went well..... suddenly I was accepted!!! Of course, I took the accounts, paid the minimum amount in, closed them the day after the nice rates expired and I bank with Natwest to this day, but hey :) Sorry for the length of this, just wanted to show you that a letter can work.

As regards stoozing, I'm knocking it on the head for this year as I want the best re-mortgage rates on my houses that I can get this year, so don't want any outstanding credit. When my two stooze card deals run out in May and August, I won't be stoozing until November at the earliest. It's a bit of a bind for me as I can pay the stooze pot into my completely flexible BTL mortgage and effectively get 6.74% nett on it, but I guess them's the breaks.

missyg your weight loss is simply not enough calories per day, increase those and you will stabilize/maintain:D

WW stuff is made by Heinz and Heinz do reduced sugar/salt/fat so sometimes it is cheaper to buy the Heinz if it is reduced as opposed to the WW which is the same, found that out with baked beans:D

I didnt realise the beans were exactly the same, thats good to know as I cant always get WW ones. :)

There is however half a point of a difference between a small tin of Heinz spaghetti & WW Spaghetti ;)

I m guesssing it is because the Heinz spaghetti is the one without less sugar/salt? Heinz make two varieties the normal and the reduced range where the colouring is in blue, I get the Heinz tomato sauce with the blue writing on it:D

  • Hey! Survived the weekend (came back with a fair bit of mud attached tho!), and *think* I've just about caught up on all the mischief here... Given up trying to remember tho!

Been busily working out my calorie allowances this morning, registered on one of the websites in the last thread (Food Focus I think). They reckon I should be eating around 1900 calories per day to lose 2lbs a week. But I'll wait til after I get all the bits from WW tomorrow and see how all that matches up before I pick an exact number to aim for. I think 1900 sounds like an awful lot, but then, I guess I'm a big girl at the moment too lol. Might give it a try for the first week or 2 then cut down more depending on how its going.

I'm all excited today, finally got my invite to join Ravelry! It's absolutely incredible, got thousands of knitting/crochet patterns tagged that I want to do tho... Just need to work out what to do first! And remember that I still have work to do for uni... Meh... :p

(Ravelry is a shiny new website for knitters & crocheters - it's all set up so you can enter the bits you've got, and lots of forums and discussion boards, and full of other knitty people... It's exciting... Honest...)

Hope everyone had good/ok weekends :)

...... fancy giving it a go Suggs, I could spare the time if you fancy it? :)

Wb pixie, glad you're well. 1900 doesn't sound OTT to me if you're a big girl - these things are worked out by scientists so enjoy your 1900 to the max. If you aren't losing, maybe then change it but until then, don't be looking gift horses in the mouth :)

Hi Pixie - not sure how big you are but Weight Loss Resources has given me 1,760 per day and I am currently 20stone 7.5 pounds, and this is to lose weight at one pound per week.
