  • Lol! That's half the reason I won't be calorie counting "properly" Ajax - it's far too complicated for my liking. If I end up counting that rather than just sticking to points (which is much more likely!), it'll always be rough guessing... Besides... I'd forever be losing the bit of paper I was scribbling stuff on (knowing that I'd leave a diary at home) or adding up wrong.... :p

If I wasn't horrifically allergic to apples I'd probably call it 50 for an apple. If I overestimate by a few cals somewhere, I probably underestimate somewhere else so I expect it balances out. I do try to be quite precise but 20 cals margin of error won't bother me :)

......worse still would be sitting on the mini electronic scales you'd have to carry round to weigh everything :)

    .....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I wonder...????

(I was gonna leave delly a message about the WW book being wrong, but, you know.... :D ) If there's such a variance between spaghetti tins, could it be that for the purposes of their book, WW use their own brand when quoting point values? That may explain how the book is 'wrong' so often - maybe they quote their own brand, but we don't know that??? Just a thought!

PS a tin of Asda tomatoes is 1.5 points :):D

Well, not only have you all been very chatty whilst I've not been here but you've also been rather rude. No change then. Good.

Ajax, glad Mrs A is on the mend - what a horrible surprise it must have been to have that particualr side effect of a broken bone.

Haven't heard from Delly for a while (unless I've missed it). D'you think that will get her back?
Calorie counters, what do you do about home made bread? How on earth do you start counting the cals in that???
Add up all the ingredients and divide by the number of slices you're going to cut it into. Or just eat the crust, while it's still hot. Hot bread doesn't count.

September 10th is where it's at. Be there or be square!

On the off chance anyone watches Deal Or No Deal, I know one of the blokes on it at the moment, he's a member of the same golf club as me. It's his game soon, I believe it's Thursday, but that's from memory (which often fails me these days)
