Sounds like the exam went well Vix, sorry I didn't log on in time to wish you luck but I was sending you good vibes! Good luck for tmorrow too, hope it's the last one. My OH started his final ever exams for his MEng today, he's in one now so I hope he comes out as pleased as you :D

Missy, great news on the eating out of your freezer - if you enjoy it then great but if you really don't want to eat it then how about swopping it with someone for something else? Might sound a bit odd but anything is an option! Just got your email, thanks, will catch up with you soon.

Had a busy afternoon decluttering which has been surprisingly great, for lots of reasons! Off to the cinema with OH later so catch you all tomorrow x

    I've been Money Tipped!
Oooops! Just had some depressing news from the dentist, I need lots of work doing, not a surprise and we have been saving up for this, but now a bridge I had done last year is coming loose so more probs! and more expense! How did I deal with it? By popping out to Asda to get some of the cheap quorn but they only had the mnce in, bought 2 bags of that and then chucked a pack of cream cakes into the trolley! Have just eaten 3! Help! Hoping the exercise at work will burn it all off again! Of course once the work starts with a poorly mouth I probably won't be able to eat much anyway!:o

  • hi all, blimey you do go on! Some terrific losses on here but as has already been said, BB, DO NOT tire yoursekf out doing a chart if you don't want to! We are all thinking about youxx

thanks for the kid words about the mini gain, will see how it goes next week. I'm not beating myself up because I know that on the whole I am being balanced, the 'sod it' stuff is gone which is making me feel much better.

Missy, i'm sure if you load up on plenty of fruit and veg eating sausages and burgers out of the freezer won't be too bad. You muight find you don't much like the taste any more anyway!

Just been v virtuous - someone gave me a huge tin of german gingerbread type sweeties for my birthday - I tried them and they were alright, but not brill - so i binned them. go me! And only 2 biscuits in the quarterly sales meeting that goes on all day whilst listening to the senior management droning on about cash and profit and margins and overriders. Believe me, this is a result! what you going to see Bails? do tell us all about it. I went the West Yorkshire Playhouse to see The Lion, The Witch abd the Wardrobe last night. Dead good if you can get there, but blummin eck it was pricey!

The trouble with living off my existing food until the end of the month means that there are things like burgers and sausages in the freezer to use up (from pre-diet - yes, i have checked the use by dates)! And I need to make a start now otherwise that's all that will be left at the end :rotfl:

I started off like that, what I did was buy lots of heathly stuff, and have say, one or two 'unhealthy' meals in the week to use them up. Or have a burger, but instead of with chips, with salad, so the meal is mostly good.

I've had another bad day today, £260 to the garage to fix my car. Haven't resorted to the take-away pizza thou!! :T

  • Hi peeps. Thanks for your good wishes. Yes missyg, I’m very lucky to have Mr BB around to mop my fevered brow and supply toast on demand. I’ve told him nurses don’t usually wear suspenders and very short skirts but he’s insisted on going the whole hog and throwing himself into the role…
I promise bails &kpc I’ve felt up to doing the chart – doesn’t take too long now I’ve got the hang of it . I'm going back to my dark warm corner now:A .
Grannynise has kindly offered to take over the chart early so I’ll be sending you the stuff by the weekend granny – used up my allotted brain/internet time today. You just need to start jotting down losses as peeps record them. Most are Mon – Wed but suggs is a Fri and a few at the weekend. I always have a notebook when I log on for that purpose – saves trawling back, which is much more time consuming.

Some brilliant losses – congrats to those who have already met the 5lb challenge – specially those for whom it’s possibly the first time, having been here for a while – bails and dragon.:j
SOTW goes to our lovely retiredlady aka Marion :T :T . Special mention to lilaclille for a 1st week of 4.5lbs and Gpuk’s 3.5lbs.:A
A cracking start for some of our other newbies (going great bluecorn, jillie, taffy, HannahB) but even a 1lb a week at the start is excellent – hope it encourages you peeps to keep up the good work, and more excellent slow but steady losses from some of our regulars.
Sorry if I have posted the chart a little too early for anyone – if I’ve missed your w.i. post it by late afternoon tomorrow and I’ll alter the chart before sending on to Grannynise

Thankyou so much BB, the chart is very much appreciated. I hope you're not reading this as you should be back in your warm corner by now :D ROFLing at Mr BB in suspenders :rotfl:I really admire you keeping your sense of hunour :grouphug: Now please try and stay out of hopsital if you can, unless it's the best thing for you, in which case I'll bring the grapes and MSE printouts xx

Congratulations to Marion for a fantastic SOTW and to all you other losers :D High five Dragon for us reaching the Monthly Challenge! It is indeed my first time, and I'm glad it could be with you :o:rotfl: (I was getting confused as to what week we were on for this month but that's answered my question.) So I've got 2 lbs left to my first stone - in an ideal world I'd like to lose it by the end of January but we'll see what life has in store...
Off to see Lust, Caution KPC, which is meant to be dead good according to the Dementor... Have a fab night all xx :D

Thanks BB for doing this whilst you feel carp!

Congrats to Marion SOTW :j and high fiving you back bails! Yep it does feel good!

I have decided that this week losing one more pound would be good as that would take me below the next half stone barrier - so watch this space!
