Hello Grannynise, could you put me down for a STS this week please. Total loss 45lbs.
Thank you.
FFMAMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0077 come and join us :hello: make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the ebay and other auctions, car boot and jumble sales board.0 -
Okay, so I'm going to stick my neck out here and see what you guys think... I've heard that on the DFW board they have meets, and was wondering if we could do something similar? I'm aware geography is a major issue but I would love to get to meet you properly. What do you think??
right - I don't know how much this has been discussed but I would like to add.... I wanna go so if my geography is putting anyone off, don't let it. I've spent January and Feb without new underwear so that my OH can get to a stupid gaming thing in Newbury Race course over Easter weekend (£60 on flights, £80 on the ticket and we haven't discussed spending money yet - I'm thinking £250 will probably be the least I can get away with letting him have) so I am perfectly ENTITLED to a jaunt across the water to meet you lovely folks. If I can just ask one thing, can we arrange it for sometime in the summer? Maybe the August bank holiday? I have a few bills that need to be sorted out between now and July and I think that's the earliest I'll be able to get the cash together.
Off to finish reading the rest of the thread now as I'm only at page 87
EDIT: bails - I think a health spa is a brilliant idea! after all - what else are we on here for????? Now, we'd need to start trawling the internet for special offers and deals... lol.
PPS - MiL brought me back an opal from Austrailia ( she's told my OH it cost £400! )Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
FFM - I really appreciate the kind words thank you! I'm still there in spirit with you and the other maintainers, but I've just been focusing too much on the fluctuations instead of keeping it simple
I feel a lot better now that staying under BMI21 is the ONLY thing I need to be concerned about!
Congrats on your STS - excellent
Suggs, boy is your ex-boss' jaw going to drop or what!!!0 -

as far as meets go, leeds is pretty much the geographical centre of hte uk . . . . ! I'm up for one too, and free august bank holiday as per delly's suggestion. health spa sounds lovely, but if everyone's off having massages and facials and stuff do we really all get chance to talk? have never been to health spa so i don't know how these things work.
what about making our next poll whereabouts do you live and then we can see what the geographical spread is?
suzy, stand near the darkest chocolate you can find - i LOVE chocolate but there's only so much dark chocolate I can take, it's just too intense for me. Or are you more 'hardcore'?!
oooh delly, an opal, how lovely. is there a luggage in there? ( have you read Pterry's 'last continent'?)
font size - I can't figure that out either beanie - do you think it's in the 'go advanced' bit? I'm sure you'l get a loss next week - i think this is pretty much my first loss all year this week! Did you decide what to do about your pets little friends?0 -
Katie~got expensive stuff from vet, house is very pongy.
My friend has had a pest control peep in~eek.
Going to research flea bombs tomorrow

Clareabelle, yes, I never go hungry on SW either. And I get to have cheese everyday:T (I buy the mature half fat cheddar so can have 42g a day as my HEa.)
Jamtart – I agree the word diet just implies deprivation doesn’t it. At SW meetings, you get into trouble if you refer to it as a diet, because of the negatives around the word: it’s a positive eating plan. Oh petrichor you are sooo right about shop bought jam tarts – I am now salivating. Mind you, it’s got to be the red one in the pack. And like bails, don’t think I haven’t noticed the disappearing weight loss in the sig:D . But the thing is though petrichor, dispite the fact you’ve have been having a rough few months, you always are ready to think and change your approach:T . Same applause for Victory too – really impressed you’ve blocked your mothers emails. And I was moved by your observation of your husband – you are so right, other people are affected by our illnesses, yet often it’s the chap who has no one to ‘talk to’.
Kpc – I was so delighted to see you with a loss this week kpc – the tide is turning:T .
Boddy – you can post up to about 5.30ish on wed eve – make it in bold so it is easy for the charter to pick up.
Retired lady – it is so important you don’t allow yourself to get bored – don’t be afraid to eat the way you find is right for you. Your consultant sounds a bit odd in her advice –vegetarians (like ajax) only have green days on SW and lost plenty of weight. And I eat several bananas a day and several melons a week and lose so I am not sure what she is on about. Don’t let her restrict you. Try a balance of red/ green days to contain the pasta craving. It is so important to enjoy your food I think. And you have done o well to lose as much as you have.
Nessa – we are all so different – I love red days and they are the reason I have done so well with SW as I love meat. I have a couple of green day a week. I wonder what confused you about red days?
Bails – glad you’ve taken a decision re the gym – in the end indecision is the worst. I was the same with the ebay chair – drove me nuts. You’ve researched it thoroughly. I think it sounds worth the risk to me.
Hannah – do you know why you have stayed the same? (and hello fellow amateur novelist)
Pixie – it’s down hill all the way from 22:rotfl:. And then life starts a fresh at 40:D .
Suzy - it was great to read you find the maintainers inspirational – I can honestly say I never thought I could lose the weight I have, partly due to medication but I did and still haven’t got over the thrill of it which is very motivating to keep it off. And this forum helps enormously.
Bails - and peeps – yes, I am up for a meet, if fit enough (though as petrichor and I are founder members of the ‘we’re not having a holiday this year (again’) would this jeopardise our status:rotfl: ).
Thanks everyone for your kind good wishes re Mr bb’s interview. It seems to have gone well enough (i.e. he didn’t come home really depressed. We had spent the morning with him going through his presentation and his deciding he was useless and never going to get it:rolleyes: ). Should know by the end of the week. Made him my speciality lemon cake. I'm really lucky that I don't like to eat the stuff myself but I lurve scraping the bowl...might not have a loss tomorow:o
A significant day for me too – I went into work for the first time since xmas. Only did 2 hrs – I’m not allowed to do any more at one go yet ( and I only work part time normally anyway). It went well and I hope to slowly build up my hours again. I have a fantastic employer.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
I would be up for a meet in the summer, I'm in Plymouth in the South west, but I have family in Manchester and Brighton, so could always combine it with a visit!
I love the idea of a spa day!I've never been to a spa before!
