I saw Martin on Channel 5 news tonight! He was talking about gas and electricity prices and how to get a better deal. It was a blink and you miss him type of appearance but still good to see him :j0

Please please please, I do not know if you can help me. 12 months ago I brought a 3 piece suite from Land of Leather the offer was pay 12 months later, I had my letter 3 weeks ago telling me that the payment was due, the letter was worded special offer period finshes 8th June 1st payment due the 16th June. All I read it as was 1st payment due 16th June, so I sent the cheaque for the full amont £1,299 the company got in touch with me saying I still owed them over £800. After looking at the letter more closely I needed to pay the full balance buy the 8th June and the first payment if I didn't pay the full payment was due 16th June, the cheaque was cashed by the 11th June which took me 3 days out the 'special' period I have been in touch with them, the company is Creation finance there is nothing I can do I have payed to late and read the letter l
wrong. They now want 36 payments of £90.52 offering me a early settlement fee of £784.91, I am asking for your advice I do not think I can get out of it, if you think I can't please warn veiwers so this doesn't happen to other people.
Thank you

I heard some of this broadcast live and meant to catch up with the rest on the iPlayer but didn't get it done - Martin mentioned something very specific which sounded like it was related to his views on the current governmental economic model in use here and I wanted to look it up, but don't remember the term he used - can anyone help me please? It seemed to be implying that the government wants no one to save anything.0

Looking forward to seeing Martin at 8pm this Friday on ITV1 Savers in Trouble : Tonight.
With savings rates at historical lows it's nice to be shown the pitfalls of alternative investments and lets be honest, with some ISA's paying less than 1%, who can blame people wanting to find a different savings vehicle?0 -
What was the point of posting that Mattytun? Hardly going to make anyone's day is it? I've deliberately omitted quoting your post here, as you might wish to delete it on reflection.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

If you read the information in the title thread martin says "What's it all about?
This board is here as a discussion thread based to talk about my appearances in the media (gulp....)"
THATS WHY i posted it OK...............ive now reposted it in money saving arms if you wish to add TO IT .Can't sleep, quit counting sheep and talk directly to the shepherd :cool:0 -
I just want to wish Martin luck for the Loose Women appearance tomorrow - I love the programme and predict that at least one will give the old "I don't want to spend hours searching out a 10p saving" line!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
