OMG...You made me laugh with your appearance on Radio 1 this afternoon, saying the word 'bloody', snapping a pen, and then saying sex.... oops you then spelt it C.E.X.... lol
We missed the end of the show, though earlier Jo asked if you would go back to discuss budgeting for weddings. Would love to listen to this one inlight of your recent engagement. :T0 -
Hi,
Where I live I can't receive analogue five or freeview (only analogue 1 to 4).
I would really like to be able to watch "it pays to watch" but I can't receive five.
As far as im aware five don't have an on demand service similar to 4od, iPlayer.
Is there anywhere else I can watch the program? e.g. Youtube, downloads from https://www.moneysavingexpert.com, etc........ :question:0 -
Anyone listen to Martin on Jeremy Vine today? I missed bits and pieces of it as I was in and out of the car but I had to smile over the kids suggesting to parents that they get a loan after watching the loan ads on the TV. Never underestimate just how much of the ads the kids take in as I can remember my daughter basically saying the same to me once or twice when she was younger
Now she has her own bank account with her EMA and travel expenses going into and she has to manage it herself and pay back the odd debt to me when its easier if I pay. I got her a Boots Advantage card for any meal deals or phone top-ups she makes and her own Tesco card but I have to say she is still very casual about money and the idea of using a loyalty card although she did use her own Tesco coupons for Mother's Day last year.
Hopefully I won't still be helping her manage her money when she reaches 35 as one caller to JV is doing, its well worth listening to again here..

Martin made a brief appearance on Jeremy Vine today albeit he wasn't actually there!
It was around 12.35 and they had just finished the budget section and JV mentioned that someone had phoned to say "Martin Lewis for Chancellor" JV said he would be very loud :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
At least the honorable gentlemen wouldn't be nodding off during his speech!
I think Martin would be a superb chancellor, except everyone would be so clued up about not paying more tax than necessary that the country would go broke!:money:
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Just been listening to Martin on the way home (Radio 1 Credit Crunch interview), we sat in the car on the drive until it finished :rotfl: then talked about the financial side of things when we came in the house. Just wanted to say thank you, for sticking up for those who rent. I have very strong views about it because we are often looked down upon for renting. If we'd for example bought this house which had an offer of £193k we'd have lost more than the £3k we've paid in rent so far (since October) as we've been told since it would be valued IRO £179k and then of course with the way the market is to expect to be offered less. I'm happy with paying someone else to worry about interest rates, house repairs, GCH repairs and servicing, local developments effecting house prices and all the other 'joys' of owning (well paying a mortgage) Just wish others didn't look down their noses at us for it, I could pay less mortgage than I pay rent but I prefer it this way. I do hope however that this doesn't make the rentals more expensive with the increased demand. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
