I do apologise for going on about this - driving you all mad.But on the statement of affairs you have to state your last job.I worked up untill April 06, I then took the loan in Oct 06 when unemployed.I dont know what to put on the form, incase OR thoroughly delves into things.Someone please help!!!!!!!!!!

    Lotty,

For God's sake stop worrying.

I'm sure when you filled in that loan application you were on the verge of becoming self employed.;) ;) You were on the verge of opening a temping bureau and all you needed was a "little" loan to tide you over, and your main concern was the penalty fees when you repaid the loan early.;) ;)

It didn't happen, your business partner died, eloped, ran off with your best friend; whatever; create a believable scenario of what was going through your mind at the time, and stick to it.:D

The worst you've been is naive, and that is not a criminal offence.

Hi ya piggehI am not being nosey or anything but you said you were in a similiar positionto me, was you dishonest? Please say yes, will make me feel better. ha ha

    yes ;)

And no ;) - different circumstances - I was mostly blameworthy for my debt (or at least a large slice of it) so I should have been involved in a BRO. Was very nervous before the OR interview (luckily was over the phone rather than face to face) but they didnt delve too far into the causes (I told them it was due to living expenses, which isnt entirely factual really..), and they didnt do anything after that.

Thanks for that.Mine also was mainly living expenses to be honest with you.Cheers!!!!
  • Hiya Lotty,

I dont know how many people on here are being 100% honest but i will be. I told some real porkies on loan applications and credit cards. In fact I managed to keep one credit card cos I forgot to mention it but my dreary old husband insisted on notifying the receiver guy when he found out.

You'll be fine, just keep his mind away from awkward areas by flirting with him. Not quite sure what to suggest if its a her.

  • Ok,Ok, if were having a lets be honest moment, i never told any of the banks and CCs i'd left my job to go to college and i let them keep handing me more and more credit..there i said it:o ..but i had hoped that going to college would improve my chances of a better job and planned on going self employed and earning a mint. But, as in all good plans, by the time i left college i couldn't afford to go it alone and everything spirralled out of control.
We all have a life plan, and sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't, but, hopefully we learn a lesson from what doesn't work and use that to our advantage at a later date...ohh a bit deep and philosophical for a Saturday night:cool:
