i always cut mu address off letters, and use them on back of envelope for return address.
is the cost of the sellotape/glue you use to stick it on less than the cost of ink to write it out ???

or is this more a time saving thing ;D

no, franky, i do it because its just nice and neatly typed out, and cheaper than those address labels you can buy with your address typed on.

    Another tip:

If two friends go out shopping, they can share a teabag to make 2 cups of tea in the shopping centre cafe, by asking for an extra pot of hot water (unless, of course, you like your tea very very strong).

I like teashops in Yorkshire, they automatically give you a pot of hot water to top up. I drink gallons of tea on holiday! Stingy London cafes don't seem to offer this. When I get tea in the BHS cafe, I pour out the first cup then go back to the dispenser for extra boiling water - double the amount of tea. They charge a £1 for one teabag and half a pint of boiling water - I have no guilt about helping myself to a top up ;)

Sharing with a friend is a good idea - sometimes it's cheaper to buy one large meal or slice of cake than it is to buy two little portions.

My tip is to take your own snacks and drinks to the cinema, the prices they charge are outrageous.

I have always done this too! I heard that cinema's charge so much for their sweets and snacks because they don't make a lot of money on the films! I find it hard to believe but I just can't afford to buy snacks at those prices on top of paying for the film.

Me and my kids have a bag/handbag with nothing in it except a carton drink and sweets (we visit the sweet shop on the way to the cinema). Although I do love cinema popcorn and will usually buy a small one for us to share!
