Hello, I have not had access to the internet for a few days now.
The council were much more helpful when I went to see them this time. They have reinvestigated twin1's application and allowed her the full amount for her application, so she has received a large cheque in the post today, to pay into her bank account. (All I need to do now is stand over her while it clears and get it transferred into my account asap.).
They have agreed to pay twin2 as well now. The cheque is still to come through, but that will be paid to me, as she was there to sign a form allowing me to take control of her council tax etc. So all we have got to find now will be mine! Thank god. It looks like I will have the rent sorted out for this coming month, as they have backdated the twins money to the 3rd/4th October when they applied for it.
They have sent yet another request to BHF to ask what my income is.!!

BHF have contacted the Occupational Health again, and I have to go through a telephone conversation again tomorrow, asking about my health.
I have been refused DLA, as I am not bad enough for that.

My physio was cancelled last week, so I am struggling a bit more today. My left arm is not good.
Yesterday I had a fall trying to change my bedding!! Twit, that I am and so am quite tense and sore all round really. Luckily although I hit my face and elbow, I had a softer landing as I landed on the duvet. If I had landed on the bare floorboards it could easily have been a different story!!
Biggest of Mooloo is now not well, and I have spent the afternoon with her, going through her bills etc and looking to see how we can help, as things are getting too tight with her fella still off work since his operation after the car accident in September.
The social services here ,have today, sent a worker to meet twin2, from the teenage refereal unit. They said they will be supplying another lady for twin1 soon. Wonder if they will be any better?
BBJ 's Dad wants him for a week for Christmas and new year. Last night he asked when he brought him back.I have said no. I think that its too long for the baby to be away from his mum. But we will have to work out something.
The Dad was redfaced and angry when I would not let him have his way, but his father did try to calm him, and a calamity was just about saved! He is lucky that he gets to see his son so much, what with his background, drugs and aggression!!
I am not looking forward to him being here on Saturday to see the baby!
Last time he came I managed to wangle it that he came on the Friday instead of the Saturday and I took him back to Oxford that afternoon, so he was not here as long. I was also able to make sure he didnt pester Twin2. Or twin1 for that matter.
I would have liked to spend the day with my BF, but I am not sure that that is going to be possible!!
Tomorrow I am back to Oxford for the physio and to see my BF, and then I have to be back here for 11amon Wednesday to see the new doctor that I have signed up with. I hope that he will be smpathetic to my situation and continue to sign me off of work, until I am able to get the correct benefits etc.
If not I will be in a predicament as my work is 40miles away, and I cant drive that every day!! I struggled to drive today to take Biggest of Mooloo's to her doctor about 16 miles away, and back, there was a huge traffic jam on the A5? Presume something must have happened on the M1, but I didnt have the radio tuned in to the local news.
Now thats a snap shot of where we are to date.
I must checkt he finances my end before I do anythingelse!.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.
  • pleased the rent/council tax benefits are sort of sorted, shame about the confrontation with the baby's dad though

Always seems to be something else for you though ,get one problem sorted then another comes along..............

    Good luck at the doctors

Just had a phone call from the Occupational Health people from work. She is asking lots of questions, and it has dampened my spirits going over all the reasons why I am stressed and in pain. !!
Next stop will have to see one of thier physicians.
But today I am off to take my eldest to her doctors again, for the blood tests. Then back here, lunch and off to Oxford for the physio.

Well today is the twins 20th birthday.
I gave them a small present and a card, specially made by my lovely Mum. I paid for a taxi for them on Saturday, and I said we can go for a meal in one of those two for about £6 in town when we go later.
I am having the delivery of some chairs and a wall unit from the charity shop, sometime this morning I hope.
I am also going to see my doctor.
I saw the physio last evening. She was very good. As her other patient hadnt turned up, she took me in early, but still spent my slot time as well.
I am having trouble feeling the !!!!! test on my arm. The resistance in my arm was worse than it has ever been.
She has told me to tell the new doctor that her next stage was if it doesnt settle again in the next 3 or 4 sessions that I will have to go to a pain management course.!
She also told me off for doing things with my arm. I must rest it.
so I must remember not to pick up the babies, must not reach into cupboards and must prop my arm as often as possible.
I have been doing too much. So I have to rein myself in.
I am not good at stopping.
But then I have got to listen to the professionals.
Time to make a cup of tea before I go to the doctors.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

There is a change to my entry which was very innocent. There is a pin that they puncture the skin with, to test feeling, but the powers that be have taken it out of context so my works are !!!! instead! Innocence is lost in every aspect now!

Hello, well I am feeling much better today.
The council have at least agreed that from the 7th Nov I am entitled to some housing benefit, before that I wasnt, so the £16.10 they originally paid me has to be paid back!!
However once the cheques start to arrive we will have 99% of the rent sorted out. As my sick pay is a little more than the girls income support I dont get it all, but I am not complaining. I am hoping that I can now relax and know that the roof wont be gone from over our heads for the foreseable future, which is a lot more than some people at the moment.:j
I met the new doctor here, he seemed very nice. I am to go back to him when my sick note runs out on the 3/12/08.
He has given me the questionnaire about depression to answer, and he has asked me to book a 20min slot to chat and get to know each other better. He also renewed my prescription, however when I went to Boots in Northampton they didnt have enough of some and none of the other so I didnt manage to get it "cashed" in. I have to go to another chemist. But thats a minor irritation as I did ask a few days before I am due to run out of things. (Hormone patches are the ones I am about to run out of most! )

The twins birthday didnt quite go to plan. Biggest of Mooloo came with us, but she is having a bad time with her back and we had to cut the day short. We ended up going to the Hungry Horse, which set me back just short of £40 in the end.!!! Not the cheap two for under a £10 type of meals there. But it was a reasonably good meal. Twins were happy anyway, and the babies behaved beautifully.

As we didnt get to town, I ended up taking the twins to town yesterday, wasnt really wanting to, and have overspent completely, but their was a travel cot, same as the one we use for BBJ for £10 in Debra Charity shop, so I bought that one for BGP. This means that the babies mums can go visiting overnight, to different venues and take the babies with them, i.e. when BBJ is with his other grandparents, BGP can go to Biggest of Mooloos for a night, or even over to my EX Exhusbands family. (Only managed to go their once since she was born).

My furniture is beginning to come together, thank god for second hand charity shops. The home is evolving.
My Office/study, is next to be sorted out. I am hoping to set up my sewing machine in the room, permanantly. I cannot sew for long, so I dont bother to get it all out, knowing that I have to pack it all away again. This way, I can do a few minutes mending etc, and walk away.
I am hoping that perhaps I could do a few alterations for Pin money again sometime. I used to run my Wedding Dress business, and alterations in this Town in the early 1990's. Not that I could sew for 18-20 hours a day ever again. But if I sew the odd hem, replace the odd Zip, I could maybe go back to the £10 a day challenge or something.

Its giving me hope that things will soon be more normal. The letter from the council agreeing Housing Benefit, has lifted my spirits completely.

If I could just get the Twins off and out then things would be so much better.!!

All that said, now I must start to think of Christmas.

Hope that I can continue to keep on track, and that I can post more positively for a while at least!!:T

Hi, I have been lucky then as I have found a sofa bed for £45. Three arm chairs, two that match, were £20 each and another that compliments was £25. I got a wall unit, bit like a welsh dresser for £50. 4 dining chairs for £20.
A table suitable for my sewing machine was £15.
The bedroom furniture, a dressingtable, a chest of drawers, another chest of drawers and matching bedside table all came in with delivery at £104.!!
So to me I think that I had a very good deal because, I also got 25% discount as I am still officially a member of staff!! It makes up for the **** pay that they give.!!

I am still feeling upbeat today, but very tired and sore. Nothing much went to plan today, and I went to Wolverton with an old friend that I have got back intouch with, and Biggest of Mooloo's came with us, but she really should have stayed at home as the pain in her face told the story of her troubles, all over her face. I really feel for her as she is so young. She is only 22.

Those are fantastic prices.....the charity shops we have here (Belfast) don't tend to have a lot of furniture.....Glad to hear your house and finances are finally coming together.

Hope Biggest of Mooloo feels better soon....
