    Loving this thread! It has made me really think about what I buy and cook and I've notice that my food waste bin has hardly anything in it which is a good thing.
    Sat - eggs, bacon, mushrooms and tomato (well it is the weekend!)
    - mushrooms and pea curry, aubergine curry and rice
    Sun - fajitas
    - bacon and mushroon creamy pasta with garlic bread, lemon crepes
    Mon - vegetable pasta
    - pork stroganoff
    Tues - spicy sweet potato soup
    - stir fry with noodles
    Wed - vegetable pasta
    - Out for dinner

    Just about to go and cook tonight's offering!

    Saturday - Ostrich burgers (from Farmers' Market), new potatoes and salad
    Sunday - Roast chicken, new potatoes and veggies
    Monday - Left over chicken with salad
    Tuesday - Chicken stir fry with noodles
    Wednesday - Spag bol (from freezer - huge batch cooked last week)
    Thursday - Honey soy salmon with rice
    Friday - Lamb meatballs (divine Jacob lamb), HM tomato sauce and pasta

  • Gosh is it time to make another meal plan already? :eek: Where has the week gone?! Hmmm.... OH isn't here until tonight or tomorrow night and we're at MIL's next weekend so it'll only be a weekday plan.

    Mon - Sweet Chilli chicken and rice (should have had on Fri but OH away and couldn't be bothered just for me, DD was at my mams) DD will have chicken korma from freezer and rice.
    Tues - Pork Casserole, mash/baby taties and broccoli
    Wed - Sausage, chips/mash and beans
    Thurs - Shepherds Pie and carrots, peas if OH wants
    Fri - Chicken Curry and rice, DD at my mam's

    See if i write it down here for all the world to see i feel obliged to stick to it lol

    Well here goes mine, trying to get back to normal after Chrimbo.
    Today - Takeaway Chinese
    Sunday - Roast Beef, Yorkies, Roast Potatos, Roast Carrots, Cauli Cheese, Cabbage, Gravy. Chocolate Pear Pudding and Cream.
    Monday - OH out for Jackets and salad for me and kids
    Tuesday - HM Vegetable Curry, Rice, Naans, Mango Chutney
    Wednesday - Salmon, Noodles, Stir Fry Veg
    Thursday - HM Cottage Pie, veg
    Friday - Beef Wellington, mustard Mash, veg

    Kids will be having same except Pizza on curry day and fish on beef wellington day. Lunches are wholemeal rolls with chicken, ham or cheese, yoghurt, fruit, hm wholemeal and fruit muffins.

  • My week will go from Sat to Fri this week!
    SAT HM wedges and pizza/fish fingers(2 small amounts need using uo)
    SUN roast lamb,roast pots,yorkies and veg.(will use leftover lamb to make a huge pot of scotch broth for lunches next week)
    MON beef casserole and veg(SC) and mash.
    TUES DS3's birthday so think she wants to choose KFC
    WEDS Lamb mince casserole(SC) with veg and pots
    THURS sausages roasties and veg
    FRI hm chicken and potatoe tikka with rice and naan bread


    Lunches are hm soup,rolls ,hm fairy cakes,hm iced buns,hm jam tarts ,hm quiche or hm sausage rolls(all baked today and cooling for fridge/freezer!)

    Mon: fishfingers, mash & beans for children, keema curry (hm, in freezer) & chapatti for grownups
    Tues: meatballs in tomato sauce & spaghetti
    Wed: smoked haddock cooked in milk with potatoes, sweetcorn
    Thurs: ravioli (in freezer) & sauce with mozzarella on top, salad
    Fri: meat pies (in freezer), chips, peas, cabbage, gravy

    I will also do two batches of soup, one spicy butternut squash and one honeyed carrot (a bbc good food recipe), to have for my lunches.

  • Well am so proud managed to stick to last week :T so am back to try for another week.
    Sunday - Quorn spaghettie Bol with grated chees and HM garlic bread
    Monday - Meatloaf, tatties and mixed veg
    Tuesday - fish, chips, peas and sweetcorn
    Wednesday - Spaghetti on toast for kids, soup/sandwiches for us
    Thursday - HM chicken and sweetcorn pie from freezer, tatties and veg
    Friday - mix of 'party' foods from freezer all bought really cheap after xmas
    Saturday - salmon, tatties, peas and sweetcorn(family visiting)

    Am trying to use up freezers and cupboards over next few weeks so shopping list for above is - puff pastry for top of chicken pie (filling already frozen) and thats it :j - cant believe it.

    This is my first time doing a meal planner...I only just found this thread so I'll do it from yesterday. I've put dinner because I don't work and my OH works just round the corner so he comes home for dinner everyday. And also I know it looks like we eat a lot of junk but this will stop once we've eaten all this :D

    Saturday tea - Fry up
    Sunday dinner - turkey drummers, chips and beans
    Sunday tea - pizza and nachos (half a box)
    Monday dinner - chicken burgers
    Monday tea - roast chicken dinner (veg, roasties, yorkies)
    Tuesday dinner - sausage butties
    Tuesday tea - HM potato ash
    Wednesday dinner - potato ash (leftovers from tuesday)
    Wednesday tea - HM Chilli, rice and nachos (other half of box)
    Thursday dinner - jacket potato with chilli (leftovers from weds)
    Thursday tea - HM Spag bol
    Friday dinner - Beef burgers
    Friday tea - chicken pie dinner (veg, new potatoes, yorkies)

    We're moving soon so we're trying to eat all the stuff we have in. When we move, i'm going to get a breadmaker and slow cooker and start doing a lot more batch cooking.
