Well I'll be home alone too for most of next week starting sat so i have planned Sat - Thurs
Sat turkey mince chilli wraps HM & salad
    Sun same
Mon same (or just a frozen dinner from freezer if none left)
    Tue veg (and maybe bean)curry
    Wed same
Thurs scrambled eggs and beans on toast

oooh what an exciting life i lead when trying to use up groceries and stay within my budget! Luckily i don't get sick of eating the same meal for a few days on end. Hope the turkey chiil will keep for the 3 days - I'll have it in the fridge.

Purpleivy - how do you make mushy peas? My hubby loves them but I always buy tinned (he doesn't get them often as I think they must be very 'processed' indeed!!)

I get either the quick soak or no soak peas in a box. Soakthem in hot water for a couple of hours regardlessLOL. Drain off soaking water, top up with water from the kettle, cook full micropower 5 mins, then on simmer power for as long as it takes to get them tender. 20 mins maybe. If you can do it without them boiling over you're a better woman than I am! Big bowl! Salt to taste and add a bit of water if you like them really mushy. I use these for my pea and ham soup as well, cooking in ham stock.

Have started to do these more often, since dd went vegi, she loves them, so easy to up her protein.
