Ok, here goes, I didn't quite stick to the plan last week, but it formed an excellent base and saved me hassle!
Friday - Yoghurt topped pasta bake
Saturday - Chicken fajitas
Sunday - Roast beef, with yorkies, roast potatoes and veggies
Monday - Beef curry with rice (presuming I have some beef leftover!)
Tuesday - we're off to the Panto .. oh yes we are ... so, SC sausage casserole with veg
Wednesday - Cheese / potato pie with veggies and gravy (cos I read it on PP's menu plan and thought it sounds scrummy).
Thursday - Daddy's HM pudding for DD (no idea yet!) and takeaway post WW for DH and I .....
Need to buy:
Eggs
Pepper
MilkGC - March 2024 -0 -
Hi everyone. These are my offerings for the week
Saturday: thai beef and coconut soup with sticky rice (beef and onions are marinating in ginger and soy sauce in the fridge already)
Sunday: Spagetti bologenese
Monday: chilli and rice (made with some of the spagetti sauce mixture)
Tuesday: Sausage casserole, mash (made with little cocktail sausages - I love shopping after Christmas)
Wednesday: Red lentil and cheese loaf, baked potatoes, broccoli (thanks to who posted the recipe for this a while back - it's great!)
Thursday: Vegetable curry, rice
Friday: Tinned fish potato cakes for OH (with peas in for me instead of fish, as I hate fish!) green vegtables and maybe I'll mash that celariac I've had in the fridge for two months
Fingers crossed I don't have to shop this week, other than milk , I did well at the market yesterday for fruit and veg. Now have to make chutney out of a large bag of very squashed tomatoes. Have a good week everyone, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
Hi all here is my plan for the coming week...........well sort of
fri lo's with their dad so just me and older 2 so whatever they fancy....beans and sausages on toast it seems
sat pizza n garlic bread
sun pork hm apple sauce,mash/roast pots/parsnips and veg
mon hm chicken pie with mash
tues mince and dumplings with ?
weds chicken and rice
thurs pork chops with ?
fri kids with dad so unsure of how many are eating
The ??? are because i am unsure of what potato dish to serve along side the meat the kids are moaning about the amount of mashed pot they are getting served, might do a potato bake to go with the chops and may substitute mondays mash for chips then have mash on tues bl**dy fussy kids. I have tried to do a monthly menu but all the meals sound really bland as the kids wont eat veg etc etc so stews etc etc are out even though i would eat them every night.0 -
