    Here's mine for the week

Friday : h.m pizza (using bm, having used it for pizza dough yet!)

    Saturday : cauliflower cheese

Sunday : chicken roast dinner (free-range after watching HFW last few nights)

    Monday : sausage, mash, peas

Tuesday : fish-fingers and beans for kids, jacket pots for me and oh

Wednesday : ballet night so something on toast or something out freezer

    Thursday : lasagne and salad
  • Here's mine - I am on a real drive to use up food in the freezer and cupboards this week to get a very short shopping list (and low bill!) so here goes:

Sat: sausages braised with lemony potatoes and bay leaves (just need to buy lemon and spuds)

Sun - chilli made with beef and kidney beans (HM courtesy of DH) (just need onions and other veg)

Mon - baked potatoes with lentil and chorizo sauce (HM) (just need to buy the spuds)

Tues - chicken in a tomato sauce with pasta (HM) (again just need some veg)

Weds - lamb casserole HM from the freezer

    Thurs - chickpea tagine

Fri - chicken stir fry (in-laws for dinner but arriving late so wanted to do something fast)

Strange.....THe highlight of today's meal seemed to be the home made tartare sauce...... mayo (LF) from a jar, 1tsp mustard mayo, 1 gherkin finely chopped, couldn't get any capers.... saved a bit of £ there and then I had the end of a bottle of LF caesar dressing in the fridge... 1tbsp probably. So not even really tartare sauce! Shan't buy the jar stuff again. AND dd said that she didn't smell fish when she came in, only the mushy peas!

I have been looking forward to this thread starting all week :p salivating already!

However, I have not planned yet as I was also hoping to get some frugal inspiration - that in itself is absolutely priceless!

My kids want input this week, rightly so, I don't think they have been too impressed this week but they are a pair of fussy !!!!!!s! Maybe I should have kid burgers :rotfl:

Give me 'til tomorrow and I shall sort the weekly plan for me and mine ;)
