In the gadget shops they have a small plug in nightlite for 5.00?

    I love this post :)
So many shoes, so little time....
  • after stealing some of your great ideas, thought I would add the same post I've just put on the teenage girls list

I just bought a watch off an ebay site. never seen one like it before and it was a big success and would be a good cheap stocking filler item

I just noticed in the safeway filling station some interesting items. Pen radios, pocket knives, filofaxes etc. all for £3-4. A useless novelty stocking filler

Hubby says photon lights, those little keyring ones that have a really powerful beam, aparantly he's seen them in pound shops.
I saw one in Maplins that doubled as a small key-spider for under £3. It only had 3 or 4 'legs' but I'd have thought that would be enough for most teenage boys ...

(A key-spider has a fat 'body' with a number of easily detachable small key rings as legs. It is brilliant if you have sets of keys for different situations and want to be able to distinguish them easily and especially if you regularly need to detach them from the main keyring. Mine looks like the one HERE but I ploughed through quite a few google pages looking for its exact equivalent in the UK before I got bored. Mine came from a good luggage shop in Guildford, years ago!)

Not sure if it's been mentioned but magazine subscriptions always go down well - could use one of the many offers posted on this site. They often come with free gifts too ;D
