Not at all, I was very polite and had never actually spoken to the individual(manager) up to the point of asking for my money. Thats what made it so exceptional. When I was a waiter, met plenty of utter w*****s but was never rude to anybody0

Hi
I have just returned from a meal from F&B (terrible)! My friend found a piece of plastic in his rack of full ribs, he told the waiter and he said this was fine and he would not have to pay for his meal and he received two free cokes.
However the manager then came over after around 10 minutes when she began to rudely blame myself and my friend about placing the plastic in the food and how we would be paying with also paying for the free cokes. Her excuse for the plastic is that they do not have any plastic like that in the kitchen although when we asked that if she was implying we put the plastic in the meal she refused to answer. She then continued to refuse to wave the charge for the meal and the two cokes when we refused to pay for the meal she then said she will call the police. I paid for my meal although regret this after reading this forum.
As this was at a birthday party with around 18 people there the manager then continued to say all 18 people were no longer welcome at this restaurant. I normal do not mind eating at the restaurant although I would like to complain however I am not sure what to say and what to ask for would be very grateful as I normal do not make complaints however I was shocked and dismayed with the treatment i received in this instance.
Many Thanks0 -
Write to head office, they should be interested that a member of staff has alienated 18 customers who will no doubt tell all their friends as well.

i worked in restaurants for years and NEVER saw customers food tampered with. It was always a kind of unwritten rule that you just didn't do that. If someone is beng unnecessarily unpleasant i found that generally staff just get contrary - as in if they want a completely fresh meal they can wait the 30 minutes that it will take to do it from scratch, rather than use the prepped ingredients we've got here. Can't say the same for the staff meals though!0

OMG! 2 minute wait?! loooooool
So, you ate a starter and then a main (bread then full rack of wings/) and then went next door as you were still hungry for a subway? I like your recent holiday photo's:
and is this hubby?
mmmmm!!! BBQ Ribs!!!
Anyhoo!! I have been to the one in Nottingham and have really enjoyed a meal there, but we have also been to the one in Lincoln and that is terrible. I rang to book a table and was told there was no need, on arrival the place was empty (that should have been a big giveaway!), needless to say the food was bland and the place was staffed by kids.
We haven't been back. If i were you though, i'd write a letter of complaint, you may get some vouchers back and an apology.0 -
Am I the only person who like F&B food :rotfl:
I agree about complaining while you are there.
Went for a meal at a beafeater or somewhere like that, OH complained as soon as his food came out, they took it back and refunded, we also waited far too long for our meals and some of the other meals werent really up to scratch, explained this to the waitress and the manager took 10% off the final bill aswell which was roughly the price of a meal. (after explaining that they had to lay off a chef that day apparently):j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
We used to go to F&B regularly in Newcastle but found the service, portion size and quality dropped. Once when there was 6 of us out, servide was so bad I wrote to complain and recieved a telephone call from an area manager who, albeit polite, refused to take the issue any further even though I had all ther details of the staff involved. Needless to say none of us have ever been back and we do not recommend it to any of our friends.Would like to: Retire at 54. 19yrs .Clear mortgage by 50. 16yrs. I have to say I like frankies and bennies! We only go for their lunch menu. I would never every consider paying full price! We go occasionally as it is rare we are not at work during the working day but where else can you get a three course meal and drinks for two for bang on £20? Our local non chain restaurant charges a lot more than that for just two courses and quite honesly I could not tell the food apart. The thing is I don't see frankies as a restaurant. If I did I would be disappointed but I see it like Pizza Hut or McDonalds so it always impresses because I don't expect too much. As long as the delish burgers are properly cooked and the chips are fresh I am happy!0
