Snap, i wonder if it makes a difference because it is a Sunday. I missed out on a few things by minutes yesterday so was hoping for some more bits today. Think dh thought i was mad getting up so early on a Sunday. I seem to be talking about Boots a lot at the mo, i realise when he looks like he is asleep!

just felt the need to defend HDN, I have ordered from Boots and Amazon and a few other places which use HDN and I have to say they have been brilliant (We live in HULL). The guy is really nice and always avoids school runs for me! Bless! HE did say the other day thought that they all have 'runs' to do and he has had one taken off him great he though till they gave him another 3 runs instead... he was not a happy bunny!

I AGREE!!! ive used boots.com bout 75 times since the summer and to be honest they and the couriers they use have been excellent. thay use HDNL, (PARCELFORCE) - not parcelforce sorry, PARCELINE - and AMTRAK that i know of and out of the 3 HDNL have been more reliable by far.

parcelforce never seem to arrive on the due day and i have had amtrak literally just place parcels on my doorstep (without knocking or asnything).

this week i had 5 deliverys due, and the 1 due on monday didnt arrive, when i rang boots cs and although i felt this completley irrelevent to my order as i live on the south coast, the cs lady told me that HDNL had problems with there northen distribution centre and some 'northen' delivers were bein delayed. where and how exactly this effects i dont know.

as previously said, i think its entirely down to your local area, but i can do nothing other than be impressed with mine.

finally and i found quite ammusing but ive never had the problems of parcels being thrown over the fence or left in silly places. it happend once i was out and the wife had just got out the shower when the door went, as she rushed to the bedroom window to tell them to wait a min she saw the HDNL guy launch abox 10 ft into the air over the back fence and land on the patio, then she realised it wasnt the kids toys from boots, nor the make up set ordered for geat auntie mavis (entirly fictional, but you get the jist). it was the NINTENDO WII from amazon:eek: , the one parcel which was basically xmas in a box!!!! turned out fine as was well packaged but did create a very nervous 10 mins as we tested it all out.

As far as I know no stock is usually updated on Sundays - but I may be wrong. I have found this with Next and most other companies :cool:

Ordered some great bargains from Boots for my little boy for his Birtday etc. Idiots left it outside in the rain all day on Friday. When my mum got home the boxes were just pulp. Haven't tried to open the bike box yet as its still soaked. Does anyone know if the trike thingy that was £14.99 comes with any stickers etc as I have a feeling they will be ruined!

shelleylovesshopping, hi i ordered the trike for my little lads 2nd birthday and as you may have read a few posts back the amtrak idiot driver left the parcels in shed and they were stolen, really gutted as the trike was the only thing i really wanted. again this is AMTRAK who are real idiots and very rude. i would complain to boots if i were you as i think this is a terrible company.
