anyone know whem 75% sale starts in cardiff??

Boots said when I phoned up that the sale starts on 16th in store. They also emailed me that date when I emailed about my advantage card.

Sorry don't know when the sale starts but you brought back memories of the old Timothy Whites stores. When I got engaged in 1980, the first household thing I went out and bought was a hand held food mixer from the Birkenhead store. It is still in use today.

I was one of the people who had some orders despatched whilst another earlier one was still showing as processing. Well the first order was delivered today, and I just had an email about the 'processing' one - apparently one item is out of stock and has been cancelled but the rest is now despatched. Sounds like that's the reason that particular order was delayed.

Nope, the delivery just turned up. No email, nothing. I did actually ring Boots c/services as I was so flummoxed and they said that sometimes orders are part dispatched, but that the "dispatched" email doesn't get sent until the entire order has shipped. I did get the woman to confirm that I would be getting all of my order as I was worried that things wouldn't come (especially after the M&S fiasco) but she assured me they would all come.

The two parcels came this morning at about 10am, I got two emails at 20.19 and 20.24 this evening to say that my orders have dispatched via Amtrack. Went on the website and there are 12 parcels, 2 of which are here and the rest are en route. Everything I ordered has been sent.

I had the first of my two deliveries today - all the smellies. I was out when it came and they left it in my back garden in the pooring rain. When I picked it up to bring it in the water literally poored out the bottom of the box and the box fell apart! All the adidas sets I ordered were sodden and no good and all the impulse tins I ordered were badly dented (nothing to do with the rain!). I was absolutely gutted and phoned customer service who are replacing the impulse but the adidas is now out of stock. I drove to my local store, about half hour round trip as it said on the delivery note that items could be returned to store, and they wouldnt take them! Have got to send them back by post.:mad:

Have just had email to say my toys are on the way - I just hope to god I am in when they come!!!!!!!

Bit gutted to be honest - but feel better for getting it off my chest. Thanks for listening!!!!!!!!!:D

I totally understood how you feel, nilrs. Maybe not exactly the same as yours. But last summer when Boots has summer sale, I managed to get some toys for my son's BD. The delivery date was only 5 days before his BD. But at that time, I felt safe as I had already ordered them.

My delivery came 2 days before the delivery date, 3 items went missing. Because they were out of stock after my order gone through. Called CS and complained about this. I also added the fact about my son's BD and timing that I would not be able to grab some bargains during the short time. (I even told her to check from my detail that one of my son's BD was coming soon.)

Nearly cried when talking with CS as I knew I had to spend more money to get the same quality of things that went missing from my order (esp within a week and I work full-time). Moreover, I would not afford to buy him full price items (3 items I ordered were 75% off).

Cut it short, CS offered me £10 in points for my disappointment. But it couldn't count. I wanted to pay for the toys and got them rather than getting free points but had to spend more later.

Placed my order online this time though. Waiting for delivery. Hope no mistake or disappointment this time.

Had all my stuff that I ordered delivered this am, abs brilliant I only ordered it on ,was it Weds ? The ted baker stuff is gorgeous and the charlie tins and lindt santa sleigh is just lovely am sooooo pleased with it all.
