nilrs - I'm so sorry to hear about these horrible people taking your things. What goes around comes around and I hope they get their come-uppance. Hurrah for your neighbour - if the police have a reg. no. then that's much more to go on than they'd normally have.

Last year, there was a much better selection of stuff instore than there was online so I hope you can get some things instore.

I hope your Dad is feeling better soon.

I'm really sorry nilrs - that must feel like the last straw.

It doesn't help you, but Boots couriers seem happy to dump and run - I've had an order ruined by being left in the garden in pouring rain.

    Good luck with everything.

Well this year has gotten off to a bad start with dad and husband and 18 month old son all in hospital within a few weeks and now i get home to discover that my boots order has been stolen from my back garden shed. i dont know what to do cry or let rip.

i came home at 4.45pm to find that my gate was open and my shed was also open, ok i thought the postie must have left something. take the kids in and find amtrax note that items had been left in shed. go out to shed to find no items - i am soooooooo upset because most of these items were to be for my sons 2nd birthday on the 1st of march and my mums birthday on the 6th of feb plus other birthday pressies for various friends etc. well to cut a long story short husband phoned amtrax who said "goods were sent by boots cheap free delivery so do not have to be signed for and only have to be left in a safe place, WELL OBVIOUSLY IT WAS NOT SAFE AS SOMEONE HAS STOLEN THEM. then phone boots who were of no use what so ever and told me that they would send out an items missing form.

by this time i am in tears decide to calm my nerves and go for a quick puff (trying to give up but when things like this happen it just gets too much), whilst in back garden there is a knock on the door and it is a community police officer, luckily a very observant neighbour noticed someone running into the garden taking parcels and shoving into car boot and driving off damn quick, they took the registration no and apparently they are common burgulars.

ALL I WANT IS MY STUFF AS IT WAS FOR MY LITTLE BOYS BIRTHDAY.

sorry to vent but i have to let my steam off somewhere.

i just cant belive it, my dad is in hospital at the mo, he had operation yesterday and was very poorly last night. so i could just do without this at the moment and feel like staying in bed all through 2008.

put this on the vent board as well but just wanted to warn people.

dont think husband really understands, i am soooo upset as the order that went missing had to be the one i really wanted and all the pressies for my little boys.

if only i could get my hands on these scumbags i would tell them how it is. i have never had any thing like this happen to me before and i can understand why people get so upset, dh has spoken to police and there might be a very very small light at the end of the tunnel. but even if we should get some of it back, it wont probably see it until my little one is 3.

i must go and thank my very vigilant neighbour.

to say boots have been of no help is not so fair, although if i could have paid a couple of more pounds for signed del i would have done.

they have refunded some of my money through paypal, and have said if goods turn up it is free of charge - i just want the things i ordered as it would have saved me so much more hastle than having to go shopping for pressies.
sorry to vent. hope you dont mind.

    nilrs

I always leave instructions whenever I place a boots order to deliver to my next door neighbour if I'm not in.

I can't understand why they couldn't deliver it to a neighbour?

Who did you speak to at customer services? You should always ask to speak to a senior manager.

They've always been very helpful whenever I've had a problem with an order. They've even given me Advantage Card points in compensation on several occasions.

My order was dispatched, but 1 of the main items was cancelled as it was out of stock!! UNFAIR as it was there when I purchased and AFTER my order had gone through, I dbl checked and there was still stock.

nilsr - thats awful, I would phone back and ask to speak to a manager. Nearly every order I have had from Boots has just been dumped out in our back garden with no note through the door.

nilrs what a nightmare, sounds like the last thing you needed at the mo.

I wondered which stores you live closest to and what items in particular you had ordered for your little boy. If any of us live near the stores you are able to get too then maybe it would be helpful if we post on here whether the items you were wanting are in stock??? ....although if you rang boots back could they not check stock availability in their stores and maybe have items put aside for you to collect?

Really do hope that things improve for you.

Just to let everyone know - I did ask yesterday in my local Boots store in Wigan when the 75% sale would be starting - the assistant kinda laughed and said she didn't know - didn't believe her at all!

This list actually comes from the staff at the shops confirming when it starts. Cs have told a lot of people Tuesday and some Monday so thats why i started this list with the help of all bootsers as cs dont really have a clue. They just say something diferent to everyone ;)

How bizarre! My orders are still showing as processing, yet 2 of the items have just been delivered.

I've been feeling edgy, as my orders from earlyish on Wed are still showing as 'being processed' and other people have had dispatch emails - did you get one, or did the delivery just turn up?
