Please note that for items ordered from Amazon.co.uk this e-mail is only an acknowledgement of receipt of your order and your contract to purchase these items is not complete until we send you an e-mail notifying you that the items have been dispatched to you. For items purchased from third parties in Marketplace, zShops or Auctions, this e-mail confirms the completion of your contract to purchase those items.
But if i was the seller i wouldnt care what amazon say i would not send out these misprices. i'd lose seller status but rather that than take a hit like this.0 -

I expect the seller will cancel the orders when they realise their error. Their feedback will no doubt suffer if they do.
There are lots of dropshippers on Amazon who rely on uploading stock they don't actually have to hand, and simply wait until they get an order from a buyer before ordering from their supplier in turn..
.Some are better at maintaining stock than others - feedback usually tells the story..
Buyers are covered by the AZ guarantee scheme and Amazon take the hit when 3rd party sellers screw up - sellers who screw up a lot get kicked off the platform for good. All of which makes it a better platform than ebay,IMO0 -

So is this a one sided contract, or is the vendor obliged to fulfill his part of the deal?0
