Can this be used as a normal external HDD via USB?
  • Well, I just ordered 2 as I had some 'spare' amazon vouchers. Hopefully it wasn't a complete waste of them....!!

The seller has 648 feedbacks on their profile in the last 12 months, and although not perfect, they are 96% positive or neutral!! Just have to wait and see then, wont we!!!

Good luck to us all!!! :D

Yes, the drive can be used as USB 2.0 or ethernet. But, I'm not sure if you / we will actually get them at that price, beacuse as mentioned above, something very wrong with this sellers prices!!

yep, definately something very wrong with his pricing model as the monitors he's selling are all strange prices too.

I don't think anybody is going to get any of these as something brown is going to hit the fan in the morning :rotfl:

I wonder where we will stand if / when he realises the mistake? Will he honour the prices or refund the whole cost back??!!!!

Will have to wait and see, but for now, its bed time!!!

Have you seen their feedback. This "bargain" is very unlikely to come off. They also offer a 4TB version for £22.09. Next cheapest is Pixmania at £1,608. If it looks too good to be true....
To be fair though, most of the complaints seem to be with their delivery company, not E&G themselves.

Unfortunately, it’s quite clear that someone at E and G Direct has messed up their price database, then proceeded to upload it to Amazon. It’s mostly the external hard discs, but there are cameras, monitors and other stuff, as has already been stated, that have a £25-ish-reduced-to-£21-ish price label. It’s not everything, so it could well be just all the newly added products. Some poor sod at E and G Direct is going to have a fun morning cancelling all the orders. :D

Use your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself. :)

Too late… someone’s realised, and the products are now all unavailable. I wonder whether it was E and G themselves who noticed or whether it was some automated system at Amazon that flag up the huge, out-of-character spike in sales. Time for the thread to be moved to the It's Gone, but was it any good? sub-board…
