Original XBox as a media player

As the Grabbit thread appears to be getting overrun by this subject and the suggested alternative was an XBox 360 thread, I thought I would start a new one. Hopefully this won't upset anyone else

Just started up one of my 'New' XBoxes with the drawer open and it appears to already be modded. I got a screen that said 'Evolution X V+3935'. There were also some games, emulators and DVD players (I had just bought a DVD playing kit!) on the hard drive, but no XBMC. I guess 'all' I have to do now is work out how to get XBMC onto the thing and I'm 'In Like Flynn'

As you're box is already modded the best way to put xbmc would be to FTP it over to the xbox. Job done!:j

With regards to my last post in the other thread, it looks like I got confused. I thought the memory cards used the same connectors as the controllers, but it looks like the memory cards have a different shape socket and plug into the back of the controllers!

Alternatively use and Auto-installer disc. Search the forums at www.se7ensins.com

Thanks for that Blinky, but it sure looks complicated. Is there anywhere I can get the complete iso rather than having to try and compile it myself?

torrents its illegal software because its compiled with M$ dev software but easily found
