Aye, I definitely don't want one of those. I spoke too soon though..it's not the fan that's noisier in the 1.6 its the HD spindle. What is quieter about it compared to the 1.1 is disc access (there's no rumble in the jungle when its parsing vobsubs).0

I bought and modded my xbox just after Christmas and am very pleased with the results and it's capabillities.
I wondered if it would be possible to view BBC Iplayer streams via XBMC, after a quick google search I came across this.. http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-iplayer/. Apparently it takes the feed used by the Apple Iphone.
I've not installed it yet, has anyone else tried it? Any comments?0 -

Looks like BBC tried to block this alternative i-phone downloading last month - me guesses this won't work now unless it's been patched http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7293988.stm0 -
I don't know if it still works or was just a proof of concept, but spoofing the Wii identity has been used to display the Wii version of iplayer on the PS3.0
