J D Wetherspoon SALE !!!

Agree totally with the alcohol policy - there aren't any facilities in their pubs for kids so they shouldn't be hanging about ages!
Also, not being snobby, but you did sometimes see parents drinking heavily with their kids in Wetherspoons, because it's cheap - not very fair is it?0 -
We take our kids to Wetherspoons a lot. I don't know how parents manage more than a couple of drinks. Our two are yamping up after an hour so it's always a quick turnaround for us.
I like having a cheap meal out with a glass of wine, it's bordering on civilised really!0 -
I never give the kids more than two alcholic drinks -so wont apply to me,0

I have 4 yo daughter and we occaisionally go to Wetherspoons. I fully agree with their policy. They are pleasant places for families to eat but, as has already been said, they aren't playgrounds and kids get bored very easily.0

good thing they ban all smoking in this pub, last time it is all old people and young babes with little childs smoking every place in the pub :cool:0

My local doesn't let children under 14 in, which I think is a good thing, it's nice to relax with a pint without having screaming kids running around everywhere. Not saying they should be banned from all pubs, but it's nice to have the choice.I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?0

You wouldn't get me eating in a Weatherspoons if they were giving it away.
Who in their right mind actually enjoys the food, anyone that does really should broaden their horizons."I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0
