Remember if your taking the kids you can only have one alcoholic drink during the meal, and 1 after the table has been cleared!
• Adults that are accompanied with children wishing to purchase an alcoholic drink should purchase a meal
• Once the meal has been finished and tables cleared it is our recommendation that only one more alcoholic drink should be purchased for each adult.

the kind who dont want their kids experiementing in the local park with bottles of white lightening during their early teens, because alcohol is seen as something exotic and exciting?
there is nothing wrong with alcohol in moderation, and having kids should not mean that you are forced into being teetotalknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

I think the kids should buy their own drinks!0 -
Full marks to Wetherspoons, who have got their new child policy spot on.
Children should be encouraged to eat food in pubs, for many of them it will be the only chance to sit round a table with the family and a knife and fork. Compared to the greasy rubbish sold by mcdonalds and other similar places, most pub food is much more nutritious.
After eating, children will quickly get bored and want to play. As a pub is not a playground, it's totally right that wetherspoons encourage families to drink up and leave after a moderate amount of alcohol.
What responsible parent would want to be in a pub for hours on end with their bored children running riot? The problem is that not all parents are responsible and there are those who want to treat a pub like an all-day-creche-with-a-bar.0 -
I just buy the Kids a pint of Lager.
Nice 4 pints for me0 -
Kids are quite useful in pubs...mine save me having to get up to go to the fag machine & they can my curry on the way home too.0

When this was on the news, it said Max. 2 drinks, it didn't specify alcoholic. I'm glad now I have seen the JD website it doesn't apply to non-alcoholic. There is nowhere to take children for lunch in my town apart from W.spoons.
Completely agree with the alcohol limit!I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0
