Sooo annoying when you have everything perfectly worked out and then something like that happens - why can't they stick to what they originally offer?! So how long will you have at ORD on the way back now?

a delightful and inspiring four and a half hours . But its the thought of getting up at 3-4 in the morning that pees me off
So now I've got to run the routine of will the Marriott let me cancel/amend my booking, will AA let me change my flight, will the car hire let me (I'm sure they will) amend my drop off point and at what charge etc, etc.

p.s. plus the biggie - telling Mrs Cat wall.gif

p.p.s every cloud has a silver lining - if I fly back from SFO, I'll get an extra 30 AA miles :j

Isn't there some clause at AA that says if they alter your flights by XX hours you can re-book (that bit) for free?

Too drunk to look it up

    And BTW

Shouldn't these last few posts be on your other thread

HA! I do believe you are correct! MTC is going to think I'm stalking him:D which I am, lol!
Never mind, MTC, give it fifteen years or so and at that time of the morning you'll be waiting for "the little ones" to arrive back from their revels - there's always something to look forward to!

I signed up to the AA advantage thing, I'm sure they said they would send something out to me but have not received anything. They also needed chasing for my e-mail tickets, and when they did come they had charged me the wrong fare, so make sure you check your e-mail carefully when they come through.
    Molly,
You will receive an AAdvantage card, no big deal, flimsy little cardboard thing. I just received mine yesterday and signed up about 4 weeks ago. You should have been given a version of this to print off and keep when you joined up.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
  • Thanks, just checked but can't see anything. Hadn't realised it would take up to 4 weeks so I will just hold tight. Noticed when I went into my account I already have 1000 points. Do I get the others after I fly in order to get this Platinum membership?
There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.

Please be aware that the challenge is NOT "fly 10,000 miles in 3 months" but earn 10,000 POINTS ! Some flights earn 1 point per mile, some.5 per mile and others 0.
Don't assume your 10,000 mile journey will earn it for you without checking please !

Don't really worry about the card, it isn't needed for anything. as long as you know your number to type in thats all you need. BTW how do you know your number? Mine was on the mock up card that appeared when I joined.
