    Read page 22.

1 Go to the SpeedTouch™ home page (http://speedtouch.lan or 192.168.1.254).
2 In the left pane select Toolbox > User Management.
    3 In the Pick a task...select xxxxx

Don't forget that any wi-fi connected computer will not work once you put a new key into the router - until you have re-connected using the new key.

For this reason it's easier to hard wire connect the computer you are using to change the settings. Then you can go back to wi-fi, connecting with the new key.

The first time I set up a wireless router, I connected via wi-fi to change the security settings. Changed them ...... it was like sawing off the branch you're sitting on.:D

    hi

right found it missed the configure in the top right

when i click on wpa it puts in a 10 digit key in the key

then it has a dropdown below saying type tkip or aes

do i need to change the key as the ones on the other site that makes them for you seemed to be a lot longer

do i also leave it on tkip or change to aes

also once i have done this on this laptop that does mean i will not be able to log onto the net with the other laptops but if i ask it to find a network it should then ask me for the key, is this right as i just wanted to make sure before i changed this one

    cheers all

tkip, upto you what you put in the box for pwd, between 8 and 63 characters long, the longer and more random, the more secure, any non dictionary word over 20 chars is pretty secure.

yes the laptops will ask you for the key, and you can set it to connect when in range, so you don't have to type it every time
