the bags don't actually say mediterranian on them though, i tried arguing that today lol! i didn't get points for the mask either so i got them all refunded. i could have argued and demanded points for the mask i suppose, but the assistant was grumpy and there were only a couple of masks.
the machine wasn't working, it didn't print out the vouchers. luckily an assistant came over and opened it up because it had kept somebody else's card. it was the wrong machine she opened, but while it was open i managed to grab the vouchers that hadn't been printed out. i also managed to grab the other vouchers in there, so i got somebody else's 100 points total spend voucher, one persons free tampons, panty liners and ultra towels and a voucher for compact tampons for another cardholder. these are all offers i don't get, so it was good to get some free sanitary stuff. i got 140 points too, although i had ended up spending around £2.50 to make up the total spend, and i kept those items, so not actually a free trip but still good. the till assistants were really grumpy when i told the customer behind me that the natural collection flower sampler bag reduced to £2 went through at BOGOF, she hared off to get another one and was really pleased with her bargain52% tight0 -

Bad news for some of you!
I went in today to spend my Mirror vouchers & thought I'd try the machine & this "orchid bag" offer. Got 2 coupons for free sanitary towels & 3 mediterean points vouchers so got 3 bags, also get quite a few things using the Mirror vouchers. When I went to pay the lady at the till said it would go through no problem with them all together so she put them all through & tried getting all the coupons off but some wouldn't go through so she called over what I can only presume was a Supervisor.
This 2nd person said you can only use 5 vouchers/coupons in any 1 MONTH in any Boots card whilst using an advantage card & they are now cracking down & more than one person in any household having more cards (So what she was saying really was 1 card per HOUSEHOLD not per person!)
Anycase I had 3 items which I had seen the original cashier had scanned through (and taken my money for as she had to do each one individualy for this 2nd person to see!) but she was adamant she had only done 1 (The bags!) so she called me a liar & told me to shut up (With supervisor or whoever this 2nd person was there to hear her!) When she went back through the till roll she noticed I was right so gave me my money back, no apology though!
Then this 2nd person said someone had come in last week & bought 10 bags for £3.20 & got 1000 points on there card which apparently was wrong as you have to spend at least double the amount to get the points (So if you get 100 points free per purcahse you have to spend £2 minimum) I said it wasn't me as I only got my new card this week but she took my card off me & checked to see what I had bought in the last month on some machine she had there. She's said that anyone who has bought these bags within the last month will have the points taken away & if they can't find who they are they will do spot checks on anyone with a lot of points on there card.
Needless to say I came out of there very upset & was very angry. I have worked in retail & if I *EVER* told a customer they were a liar and/or to shut up I would have been sacked on the spot!
I want to make a complain but not sure how/where to do this? Do I phone that store direct or straight to the main number? What would you do?

Call customer services, they are really great. you have done nothing wrong. it is not our fault if the till add all the points on0

hmmm ... i already spent my points on a shaver for my husband so i don't think they can take them back :rotfl:
what a terrible way to treat you though! we're not doing anything wrong when taking advantage of their loopholes - there's nothing to stop them from imposing restrictions themselves if they configured the tills properly. why don't they check on things? they say you don't get the points on miniatures so why not include bags in those restrictions, or say 'when spending over £x.xx on mediterranean'? why put advantage offers in the machine for products already on special? the toothbrushes and little me products were on half price and 3 for 2 without us even going to the advantage machine. i see they learnt the lesson on last years 'skin kindly' promotion - this time the soap isn't included. but it hasn't stopped them making the same mistakes on other promotions. it's their fault not ours, surely once we've paid for things those points are ours? i know the toe separator thing went too far, with people taking the same goods back to the shop and buying them several times over, but i don't think any of us did that with other promotion, so i don't think we've done owt wrong.
i dread to think what they'll see if they look at my card activity over the last few months - lots of little me at better than free, lots of toothbrushes at three for a tenner or less, lots of huggies with loads of points back, lots of free body science products, more than one advantage mag (to get the ten percent vouchers), lots of med stuff. then not a lot until they go back a year or so when i got lots of natural collection, cucumber range and natural collection free blushers. aside from these specials i only ever shop in boots for 3 for 2 vitamins. looking at my past record they might see it's a good idea to restrict mags to one per person, freebies to one per person, and vouchers to one use per card :eek:52% tight0 -

For the bags the points didn't go on at all so that is why she called the 2nd person over anyway so I told her to forget them, she then said I was wasting her time! Do you have a number or will it be on website?2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please0 -
Oh & I had a coupon for £1 off something that was £3.49 on BOGOF but was told I couldn't use that voucher either as those were on offer already! Then she took my remainding coupons from me to make sure I couldhn't get anything else (I still have some at home though which I was planning on spending tomorrow with MIL)2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please0

Seems like you had a bad experience too yvonnecrossland like me....I thought the customer was always right...The points are not being added for any Med products..bags or not as far as I can tell....After my terrible lunch break at boots today I stopped off at my local one on my way home from work..printed out a voucher and bought a mask which came up at 66p...No points were added..The lady on the till said."oh yes there's 2 points been added"..I think it was 2...something low anyway....I explained the 100 point voucher hadn't scanned so she was going on about the product being only 66p anyway and I shouldn't get 100 points for it...So why produce the vouchers in the first place then???She then manually added it to my card..I think thats enough med products for me..I can't handle all the moaning and groaning..0

Hope this helps YvonneCrossland

I wouldn't mind too much if they said they couldn't put the points on but for her to treat me the way she did was unreal.2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please0
