beanie, I retire later this month. We had meetings today and it was nice to think aaah not me when they spoke about new systems in place next year. lovely to meet up with people I don’t see often though.
Lovely dog walk after work as DH met me in the park and let dog off lead to race across and greet me. Bliss.
Tea was fish finger toasties with sourdough and better still, made by DH. This is weekly Wednesday tea he makes and I love it.
Colder here tonight. I’m glad it’s autumn and looking forward to winter. Anyone else that summer was too hot? Maybe it’s just me. Pale Scot!7 -
I still haven't reached the cardiologist. Well, right now I don't have a phone as they are switching companies and they took my phone away for awhile. I'm tired, sore, and mad at roommates right now. What else is new?

Hope you get it sorted and things improve for you soon @weenancyinAmerica.
Home today, and so far I have sorted the kitchen and done the ironing (ok there were only 2 items….). OH walked the dog.
I am expecting a delivery of meat from the online butcher that we use. I feel a bit guilty for not using the local ones, but this one is so much better. I also feel guilty about all the packaging, but feel that making a large bulk order infrequently instead of regular smaller orders mitigates this to some extent. We don't have meat every day by any means, so it will last for many months. It all comes vacuum packed so no worries about freezer burn - it keeps perfectly. However, there is a lot of home grown produce in the freezers, so my tetris skills will definitely be called upon!
I will also make an apple pie, but as I bought on offer puff pastry from L*dl instead of making shortcrust as I normally do, I will be cheating somewhat 😂
I am wearing a pinafore dress (ebay second hand 'bargain') that arrived the other day. I wasn't sure about it as it seems a bit tight across the midriff and abdomen. However, as the fabric is thick, but soft and stretchy it is very comfortable, and also warm being a chilly morning. Still considering the look though. I thought by wearing it more or less straight away (after washing, but to be honest it was already perfectly clean and fresh) I could decide whether to keep it or list it back on ebay to resell. It is so comfy that I am leaning towards keeping it at the moment.

Change is afoot! There will be no numbers allocated to you this month, so you can choose your own!
beanie - have you been to France yet? I think I might have missed your trip.
weeNancy- I do hope you get some progress re the hospital stuff. And don't assassinate your roommates…
Since Pip's EHCP and college fiascos (on both their parts, not his or ours), the next 11 months are going to be very different from what I was expecting. However, given the number of medical appointments and stuff he's already had done in the last 5 weeks, I don't think we'd have time to do college too!
The weather has turned. The heating even came on this morning, to remind us that it is fully working and well capable of blasting out heat. I think last night was the first time the nighttime temp dropped into single digits. Dh was so smug that he had put the winter duvet on the bed 🤣.
I am grateful for the life I have, for my family, for having choices, for the flowers dh bought me, for liddle f+v boxes.

I don't really know what the numbers are for anyway? They never seem to be referred to?

I don't know - maybe the roommates are pushing it. One finally got up - couldn't tell if he was still living, drunk as usual. The other got ready for her class on using her cellphone and left it in the house when she went to get on the bus. Fortunately for her - not for me - she remembered before the bus left and the driver came up to get it. When I handed it to him, the rogue cat got out, and it almost killed me to get him back in. I was about to fall over by then. Barely made it to my walker. The other roommate was supposed to take the house phone upstairs to recharge on the base as he had the new phone company arrange for the base to be upstairs. But it has gone dead because he didn't take it up. Dumb move on his part and frustrating for me. I have another of the phones, but I will have to carry it around all day, and it may run out of "juice" too. Not off to a good start today. Will be catching a bus later to go to City Hall West to pay a bill, which I have to pay in person to get the discount from my health insurance company. Someone is coming in the meantime to look at my car and see what needs to be done to get it street ready (we don't have the MOT program here). Hot - supposed to be close to 32C today.

I felt better after yesterday's therapy session but I was really low before. I pushed and bullied myself into brushing my teeth, having a shower, taking my pills and eating a couple of bananas all of which made me feel semi-human and I did participate in the session. I phoned for a repeat prescription item between 10 am and the start of therapy at 10.30 am. In the afternoon I put washing on the line but that was me done. Three important tasks completed.
Later I had an email about not completing my questionnaire - replied outlining the past week and saying I would do it asap. This morning she replied offering to phone me and go through it with me. I gratefully accepted and it happened so I feel so much better. Throat is sore and breathing is still tough (vix and the CPAP machine are keeping me going)
Mrs Builder came today, she had messaged me (should have been tomorrow) but that's the laptop that's working for 5 minutes at a time. So kitchen and shower room are clean and washing is on the line and third lot has been done. I collected recycling and took it through to the kitchen and she took it to the bins, There was a lot of mess which I had been working on. She goes on holiday on Tuesday and I won't see her again until November so I need to get my act together. Think it's time to get radical with releasing my excess possessions.
Grateful for the support I am getting, the books I'm reading, knowing I have been through bad times before and things will get better.
Gentle hugs nancy

Awesome photos, beanie. Looks fabulous! Get well soon.
DawnW - we just carried on with the numbers because that's what kat did, I think.
Today I am grateful for getting myself to the gym via liddle and for chatting to more people there (the gym, not liddle!), for Pip having a new dentist who was so good with him, for my airbandb booking being confirmed for my uncle's funeral next Friday (it's pretty remote and leaving on the day and getting there for midday would mean leaving at the crack of dawn - ugh - so we're going the night before), for the wind blowing through the trees, for 85% chocolate - always!
