It's coming faster than you think - the elves are already hard at work. I just hope this elf finishes her sister's present in time (I'm knitting a bag for her).

Maybe we should start using the C word so Father C kills as many of the little so and sos as possible before they get up to their shelf antics (I'm so mean).
I've just written a 'worry list' which is this week's therapy homework. I stopped when I'd filled a page. I need to try putting them through the worry tree (It's C tree shaped). AS a rule I try not to worry, I do what I can and set the other things aside. This can be very helpful. I've oten put a prolem to the back of my mind and my subconscious mind works away quietly and finds a solution. It can backfire. Some of these I now see are nagging away at the edges of my life, manifesting as 'accidents' (breaking pots and slip ups - I cut my finger on a tin can lid and on Friday I put ear drops into my eyes - identical packaging and the first thing I do is take my glasses off. Luckily I'm keeping water close by as part of one of my food goals and I splashed it all out again. In the past it has emerged as an eczema break out

I did a couple of grotty jobs - cleaning out the dishwasher filters and the ironing first thing to get them out of the way. Then I got called into work as someone was ill 🙄 Anyway, it was nice to get home to no ironing and a clean dishwasher!
OH is back from his trip up north to see his sister and her family, so was able to pick me up from work (we share a car, and he had it). That was a relief, as I was shattered and didn't fancy the mile or so walk home.

Flu jab today so at least it’s off the list.

I must book mine @beanielou.
Loads to do today. And we have to pick up 2 grandchildren from 2 different schools in 2 different towns / villages this afternoon 🙄
So far I have walked the dog, emptied the dishwasher, ordered medication and had breakfast. Must do better!

Don't think I've done much towards the challenge yet. I've spent the past week getting to the point where I have a working laptop to attend tomorrow's therapy session. The new(er one) fell and dented it's charger input so only charging sporadically, so I ordered a replacement charger. I paid for delivery to get it Tuesday (just arrived) rather than after the session. However I was bothered that the actual socket for the charger was damaged (just getting very anxious, this worrying homework has been really counterproductive) so on Sunday I dragged myself to the tech exchange shop and bought another laptop for £55, hoping the charger was compatible. It didn't work at first (which means the 6 socket bar that has suddenly appeared is broken and probably been dropped downstairs by the upstairs trolls).
Luckily (much crossing of fingers) yesterday I charged both the newer and newest laptops using a different bar socket. The original laptop is still limping along (anything from 5 minutes to an hour a day). I still need it as there are some things I haven't been able to switch onto the new laptop - the MS adjacent options, bookface and messaging etc are all tethered to an old email address which they have withdrawn support for. I tried to order food yesterday and it quit as I reached to press pay. I did get it up later in the afternoon and just pressed pay before it disappeared again. Not ordered butter and mine is not in the fridge (either stolen by the trolls or hidden by their items which have just been stuffed randomly into my fridge). I'm going to have to check the 'irritable' box on the therapy question list again.
Anyway I have a laptop for therapy and on going through the worry list I've identified a few minor tweaks to make life easier and implemented them. I must get better with technology as being mostly confined to the house I need it for basic needs and keeping in touch with people
I did go to my Coffee and Chat session (first time in three weeks), very pleasant but I was in a lot of pain (noticed by others) and picked up a few more books from the giveaway table rather than selecting and checking out books. Totally wiped out again (did set the WM off but now have one lot waiting once I get the first lot out). I have prioritised doing fun things (reading, puzzles and drama series) and made progress but still lots to do and had to take couch medicine this morning (winter bugs round 2).
Grateful for entertainment (books, drama, puzzles), the tweaks I've managed to implement, companionship (here and C & C)

Change is right. I learned this morning that my surgery set for Friday has been canceled as I need to see a cardiologist first, even though my EKG showed no problems at all. Oh well. It may never happen now as I may be changing insurance companies, and I don't know if this surgeon is on the new plan. I will spending a lot of time cleaning house instead.

That should be cough medicine not couch medicine
