:hello: Morning all!
a wet and windy day here so far!
Just woke up DS2 for school and yelled at him to get up when he told me he's not back till tomorrow as its a teacher training day today:o- got him to show it me in writing just to be sure!;)
Got to go cleaning today for a bit of extra cash, am saving like mad in various tins for holiday, christmas 2008, christmas food 2008 and a new sofa! got a big cut in income in July£170 a month so need to be cutting back now in readiness.

odds-n-sods - hope the toe(or lack of) is ok

Morning all
Windy but bright here today - blummin freeeezing though!!
Hugs to all the poorlies.
Had an awful nights sleep, couldn't breathe and was constantly either too hot or too cold - blugh. DD1 woke me up about 11.30pm asking for the sick bucket as she had really bad tummy cramps - nothing came of it but she's still in bed now looking washed out and weary.
It's out 6th Wedding Anniversary today, we were having a look at the photos last night, we had our wedding just the way we wanted, did all the catering ourselves, bought my dress in the Christmas sales (just a simple black velvet dress that I've worn loads since) and DD's dresses were in the M&S sale which I then managed to sell on ebay for more than 3 times their original price to a woman in Oslo.......all in all I think they whole thing cost less then £400 including the rings. How some people spend so much is beyond me, but I suppose it's all a matter of personal taste - our wedding was everything we wanted it to be, 34 close friends and family members and us.
Anyway - todays plans - ironing and then some more ironing, blitz the soup I made last night and make a loaf for tea.........then it's time to start sorting out the fabric I need for some mothers day projects I need to start - patchwork aprons and fabric shopping bags should go down well I hope!
Hope you all have a great day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Morning everyone
Pooky - loved your wedding story. Hope your DD feels better. Nasty bugs going round!!
Vegaslover - thinking of your DD. i do understand the feeling of not being able to settle and do anything when worried. maybe today you could do something like a crossword which would occupy your mind? Good luck with keeping busy anyway.
((((hugs)))) to all who are still sick.
I'm going to get my hair cut and highlighted today -yippee. I have been off work for a while and this will be a real boost.
Apart from that, i STILL haven't changed that bed so it's on the list for today. In fact OH was going to have a looong sleep but i hear him up and about (ok, it is nearly 10am!!) so i will go up and just get it in the washing machine in a mo. He's back to work tomorrow so will have a nice fresh bed tonight in preparation!
Have a good day everyone

ps Tru and others coughing - I honestly found that the best thing is whisky!! Now \i would say that being a Scot but started coughing last night, got bad tempered and couldn't be bothered making a toddy so just had a mouthful of neat whisky. Result - slept straight away and didn't cough once during the night!!0 -
pennypenguin/haribo/churchie/catowen - you naughty ladies of the nite
Yes well I"m glad you pointed out their night time jobs Shez.Hussies the lot of them.
It is not 48 degrees here. Stop getting carried away you lot. It's a cosy 30 degrees with 70% humidity. It's the humidity that makes it a killer.
I've been on the back verandah with DH drinking vino.
Happy Anniversary Pookies
Catz Hope DD improves quickly.
Off for a wee surf and then shower. DD is hogging it atm. ByeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
morning all.
sooo tired today.
baby is still ill, she was up at 2am coughing. got her back to sleep and she woke again at 6am. DH got up to get her and she wouldn't stop crying. managed to calm her down and the only way she would go back to sleep was lying on top of me snuggled into my neck! so now i have a sore back from lying so stiff and my neck is covered in snot!
not up to much today, need to nip to tesco for a couple of bits. need to take steak out of the freezer for hm meat and potato pie. or cow pie as my oh calls it. bm to go on and a wool washto do. might even wash the hand wash only top at the bottom of the basket thats been there since christmas!0 -

Morning everyone,
it`s very wet and windy here this morning, the rain is being driven very forcefully against the windows so i`ll try and wait a while before walking the dogs.As some will know i didn`t sleep very much last night so my day is all to pot already, finally nodded off around 3am and woke at 9.
I`ve really got to get a hustle on now as DH will be home from work around 2.30 and i`m back at work tomorrow
Tea tonight SHOULD be brisket with roasties and all the veg but you never know what will happen.
At least being up all night means the bm has been on twice, the wm twice and the slowcooker and dw too, all on lovely economy 7
Right i`m off to move my lazy !!!.
Hugs to those who need them, good luck Mrs_mix & catowen.
Catch up later.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0
