I didn't apply until 6/9, so I'll be waiting until October at that rate - thank goodness the money's sitting in an OK savings account already! I haven't had any apology emails for about a week either.

I'm now at 18 days and counting - I've just received another "We’re still working on your savings account application. We know it’s been a while, and we’re truly sorry it’s taking so long. We’re still receiving a lot more applications than usual, and we’re working hard to process them all as quickly as we can."

Also received another email today. They state "We’re still receiving a lot more applications than usual, and we’re working hard to process them all as quickly as we can."
Surely this is untrue? Their relaunched product is 0.5% below what else is available on the market, they can't be receiving anything like the same volume of new applications.
In any event, there is presumably a queue so new applications should have limited influence on the time it takes to process the existing backlog…
Just odd verbiage.

22 days now for me
Their latest email ends with "When it’s open, your new account will earn the interest rate that was advertised when you submitted your application."
You would hope so!

…which suggests that the interest rate may have already moved !

It has, it's now at 4.05% inc 1% bonus.

So anyone applying now would not be getting much of a deal.

You've got to be quick sometimes to grab the best deals when on offer. I opened a few different instant easy access accounts as soon as they appeared, knowing that Zopa at 4.45% was ending in October. Unfortunately, other than the Spring Accelerate all have got new lower rates, but I still have the original rates….for now. If you want the Spring account (only up to £5000) you'd have to be quick, offer ends 30/9/26.

And who has the time to do that ? !!! Especially if you have your money in other accounts, with all the complications of making transfers between banks…..within the time limit…when we all have other things to do !

And lots of others who post here.
