Unlike me then. I opened and funded the FA account on 26th August. Applied for Cahoot accounts for myself and OH on Friday, still waiting for details in the post.

11 days and still awaiting opening ….

I've been waiting a week but have every confidence it will be open by Christmas. How does it work with withdrawals at First Active? Does it depend on the person handling your account being away on holiday or not?

11 calendar days so far and counting to not open my account.
I really do genuinely not understand it.
NatWest Boxed runs Saga Savings which for most of us worked instantly or within a couple of days to open an account.
NatWest Boxed runs this shambles and takes 11 days+ to so far not open my account. This included asking again for ID verification via Onfido less than a month having provided exactly the same data for Saga via the same computer on the same IP address.

IS there a time limit for opening an account, after which the advertised interest rate no longer applies?

Received another email this evening re the delay:-
We’re getting in touch to let you know we’re still working on your application for a savings account. We’re sorry it’s taking so long, and we appreciate your patience. The reason it’s taking a while is because we’re receiving a lot more applications than usual. Our teams are working hard to process them, and we hope we won’t need to keep you waiting much longer.
There’s no need to call us, as our customer service team can’t speed up the account opening process. As soon as your account is open and ready to use, you’ll get a welcome email from us.
We understand the delay is frustrating, and we appreciate your understanding.
Thank you for bearing with us.
Many thanks,
First Active

I opened my account on 2/9 & had all the information & funded the account in less than ten minutes. My husband had the same experience.
